2004 Subaru Outback H-6 3.0 L.L. Bean Edition We are pleased to present this exceptional and quite rare 2004 Subaru Outback L.L. Bean Edition. What makes this car quite special is its color combination. 2004 was the final year for this best style of Outback, and to make the cars more interesting, they came out with several unique colors. For the White Frost Pearl color, they changed the bumpers from Titanium Pearl (on the earlier models) to a very gorgeous "Moonlit Metallic" color. This was only for one year, and only on the L. L. Bean models. This is actually the first one I've ever seen in person in this color combination. Of course, since it's an L. L. Bean, it has the beautiful tan leather interior with L.L. Bean embossed in the seatbacks. This particular model features the cold weather package, so it has heated leather interior which is my absolute favorite. It is so nice in the winter! Also, exclusive for 2004 are the silver badging on the exterior, and the beautiful 16 inch 5 spoke alloy wheels. The 2004 models look so much better because of these minor differences. Subarus are known for their world-class sporting performance, and this car is no exception. These also feature Subaru's proven and smooth horizontally opposed 6 cylinder engine which is mated to legendary symmetrical all wheel drive. It is extremely hard to find these Outbacks with the 6 Cylinder engine, and it is definitely the engine to have in this car. It changes the Outback from a fairly ordinary car into a very refined, very smooth luxurious vehicle. The added power allows the engine to work less hard, so in turn it gets about the same gas mileage, too! The taupe leather seats are in very good condition. The drivers seat has a bit of wear, or as I like to call it, "patina" which is normal for a car of this age and mileage. The car has zexel automatic climate control which works properly.This car has the premim audio system with upgraded 11 speakers including a subwoofer which sounds great. It has an in-dash 6 CD Changer. For safety, this Subaru has, of course, dual front airbags, as well as side airbags. The cargo area is in beautiful condition. The owners manual booklet is there. It does have a power operated drivers seat. It has an auto-dimming compass mirror. It has the cold weather package which cosists of two stage heated seats, a heated windshield, and heated exterior mirrors. This outback also has the AWESOME giant dual moonroof which makes the cabin feel open and airy. It works properly and is probably one of my favorite features of the high-end Outbacks. The outside of this Outback is beautiful and is finished in the stunning and very very rare color combination of White Frost Pearl with Moonlit Metallic bumpers and cladding. Even though I actually worked for Subaru when these cars were new, I have never seen one in this color combination until this one became available. This color is really quite striking. The paint is in gorgeous shape, except for some average scratches and scrapes on the bumpers from parking. These have actually been touched up, so they're not too noticeable unless you're looking directly at them. Overall the exterior of this Outback is in outstanding shape. There are, of course, some minor dings and scratches as you'd expect on a car of this age and mileage, but overall it's definitely in above average condition. It has 16" alloy wheels which are exclusive to the 2004 model year and are 5 spoke and painted a great bright silver color. They help set it apart from other outbacks. This outback has the very early stages of the common body rust on the rear quarter panels. We left it the way it is rather than investing the money to repair it. It's very very minor and is only through the paint in a very small location on the left rear quarter panel which is visible in the pictures. For the price of the car, we wanted to leave it up to the buyer as to whether or not they'd prefer to repair it. The tires are all matching tires with excellent tread remaining. The brakes are in good shape and the car stops as it should. The car drives perfectly. In fact, we did replace the front brake pads and rotors as part of our extensive mechanical inspection and reconditioning process. The engine and transmission operate properly. This car has had only ONE owner since it was brand new, and it's obvious that they take exceptional care of the car. The condition it is in is exactly the way it was traded in to the Lexus dealership from which we purchased the car. We didn't have to clean anything. It's obvious that the previous owners took very good care of the car. The car drives great and is excellent mechanically. These 6 Cylinder models rarely have mechanical problems, and do not suffer from head gasket failure like the 4 Cylinder models do. It's also important to note that this Subaru features their incredible and bulletproof "Symmetrical All Wheel Drive." This is one of the best AWD systems on the market, and these cars go absolutely anywhere, no matter the weather. DONT miss out!
