Up for auction I have my 1958 Ford Fairlane 500 two door hardtop . I have owned this car for 10 years and it had had a complete restoration done a couple of years before I bought it. The car is in very good condition. When I bought it, it had a mid 60's 352V8 that was very tired. It now has a fresh .060" over 390V8 with forged pistons, mild performance cam, aluminum intake, 4 barrel Carter carb and dual exhaust. The power brakes were completly rebuilt 2 years ago including new hoses, all 4 new wheel cylinders, all brake shoes, new master cylinder and all 4 drums turned. The fuel tank was removed and a new sender installed. The radiator was rebuilt and the engine runs cool. The transmission shifts good and operates as it should. It does however leak a little trans fluid when parked for a time . The red and white interior was all redone when the restoration was done and is in very good condition. The left front fender has had a new eyebrow installed at some time in it 's life and looks great. The right front fender has not had an eyebrow installed and does have a little paint bubbling on the outside area. I tried to show this in the pictures. Both front door windows are cracked in the top corner near the vent window area. I don 't believe the radio is hooked up so I do not know if it works or not. I removed the rear seat for cleaning and there is no floor rust anywhere. There is no rust in the trunk area as can be seen in the pictures. The car is driven often so there are some small dings, paint chips etc. but you will have to look to find them. The car runs, drives and sounds great, is great fun to drive and has great power. The engine does not smoke or use oil. Come and take it for a drive, you will not be disappointed. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the option to end the auction early.
