72 BMW 3.0CSI. 4spd, AC, PW, PB, Fjord blue, blue cloth interior, 14x7 Alpinas, including spare wheel/tire. Vehicle is in very good condition. Recently serviced in La Jolla, CA. Vehicle runs well, but occasionally rough starting. Vehicle looks great from a distance, but imperfections show up close. This vehicle is an excellent driver, and even better as a base vehicle for restoration. Vehicle has excellent structural integrity. Vehicle has spent its time in Oregon and California. Prior to that I don't know its history. As stated above the vehicle is in excellent condition. There are only two areas of concern. At the top of the rear windshield there is some surface rust that has developed. Also the passenger front fender has two areas of concern(photos). However, when you get under the car, no rust through or significant rust issue present. With BUY IT Now purchase of the vehicle comes the following; excellent Gethrag 265/5 spd and bell housing out of a 81 BMW 528. Two gorgeous cloth/vinyl reupholstered Scheel seats(photo is not of actual seats), original 3.0CSL wheel arch chrome pieces, unmolested radio faceplate, Alpina and Nardi steering wheels, two new 3.5 badges and one NOS CSI badge. Excellent condition glove box and driver side under dash pieces, various interior trim pieces including excellent black door handle, chrome pieces, ash trays. Again these items will only go with Buy It Now price, otherwise can negotiate for individual parts. Other included parts are original steering wheel, original excellent condition 14X6.5 alloy wheels. Note there is no trunk tool box. I hate to place this vehicle on the market. The BMW 3.0 CSI is one of my favorite vehicles and being a perfectionist, I was expecting to start restoring the car, but at this time circumstances are dictating otherwise. On Sep-13-14 at 19:27:38 PDT, seller added the following information: Further vehicle description- The car is a non-sunroof vehicle. The interior wood shows typical weathering and needs restoration as do the seats and carpet. The A/C is there but needs to be connected. The speedometer is jittery, and sometimes doesn't register, likely a loose connection. All power windows work. After a comprehensive tune up in La Jolla the engine runs very strong with excellent acceleration and good low and high end torque. A period correct Blaupunkt radio is also available. Also included with a selling price at or above the initial Buy It Now price of $25,000 is a 79 BMW euro 635 CSI with the M90 engine, 5 spd dogleg transmission and 3.45 LSD. This vehicle is non-running but largely complete. I bought this vehicle in order to upgrade the engine and differential during a planned future restoration of the 72 CSI. I haven't yet picked up the vehicle so the winner will have to transport the vehicle themselves out of Hendersonville, NC.
