This great looking 2 OWNER/1 family owned car was restored many years ago and shown at Mustang events winning tropheys. This is a highly original style car and is numbers matching to its data tag. The car left the factory in the beautiful color combo of Vintage Burgandy over a Black interior and equipped with a rare 4-speed!!! It is not easy to find a good 4-speed convertible! The floors on this car are completely solid rust free and dry. This car has been well cared for its whole life and it truly shows. The doors hood and trunk all open up like a brand new car because this car retains its original parts and few if any Chinese reproduction parts. This is a solid 100% Rust Free Mustang!! The floor pans are absolutely beautiful and completely rust free. The body panels line up amazingly well and everything opens and shuts with ease.This is an excellent driving Mustang. Click to enlarge Exterior: This Mustang looks great finished in its factory color of Vintage Burgandy that is in very nice shape. The car appears to have been repainted once in its life and whats truly amazing is the date coded sheet metal. There are date codes on the rocker, fenders, trunk aprons etc... all indicating factory sheet metal. The door, hood and trunk gaps all line up excellent! The body is LASER straight and looks beautiful. Again, this is a solid rust free Mustang!!! All of the chrome is in excellent condition. The car even retains its Carlite glass!!! The exterior is really set off by the "Pony" wheels. This is a car that you could bring to a local car show and show it with pride, or you could go on great long weekend drives in. This car was painted over 20 years ago and has held up well because it was a high quality paint job. You do not have to worry about things popping through the paint with this car as you do with freshly painted cars. The paint is in amazing condition considering its age. I would attribute it to the car only covering 5500 miles since its restoration and mainly being used only as a show vehicle. Overall the exterior is in great shape. Click to enlarge Interior: The classic Black interior of this mustang is like new and in excellent condition. The front and rear seats are new and in excellent shape. They are free of stains and tears. The carpet and door panels are like new and finish the car beautifully. The dash pad is in perfect condition and is free of cracks etc... Every courtesy light, every gauge etc... are all in great working order. Overall the interior of this car is beautiful and like new showing few signs of wear. The original radio is even still in the dash. The convertible top is in excellent shape as well and looks virtually new! It is a great place to waste the weekend away. Click to enlarge Engine: The 289 Ford V8 fires right up and runs like a top. The engine runs beautifully and largely leak free as well. The car was recently treated to a rebuilt carb and the car runs excellent. The cars 4-Speed transmission shifts beautifully. The transmission shifts smoothly and is in great working order. The car runs nice and cool even in Arizona's hot and dry climate. The car steers beautifully and the car stops straight and true. Brand new Disc Brakes are included in the Buy it Now Price of this car. A look around the engine bay will reveal all very clean and straight inner fenders, you will also notice unpainted bolts holding the front fenders on indicating the car was dissasembled for paint.
