This car is absolutely awesome! 1985 was the last year Mercedes made the 123 series 2 door coupe. They were built from 1978 until 1985 and or since 1982 did they have the turbo with the 3 liter 5 cylinder engine. This engine already had a reputation for being extremely reliable and very economical. Now with the introduction of the turbo charger in 1982 and the upgraded horse-power they also had plenty of power. These cars are truly fun to drive and remind you of a time when cars were built to last a lifetime and not just until the next model comes along. This car feels very solid in town and on the freeway. The doors close like a safe and you can really feel you are sitting in a car with high quality. I am selling the vehicle only because I desperately need the garage space. Owned by a non-smoker this car spent most of its life, with the exception of the past 3-4 years, on the west coast mostly in California. This car, with only 194k miles, has been well cared for. It has been garage kept. The coupe rides and handles like a dream. As you can see from the pictures the black exterior and interior along with chrome features create a sharp color combination and makes for an excellent collector’s edition. Select appointments include; an automatic transmission, power sunroof, clean black interior with carpeted upholstery, power windows and upgraded stereo/cd player. This car has been well maintained over the years, however, this is a 29 year old car. The rear driver’s side window does not go down and the front driver’s side window has some light scratches. The vehicle was involved in a minor car accident back in 11/91. Another car backed into the left front fender. There was no damage to the vehicle, not even cosmetic but a report was still filed. Recent service/maintenance includes brakes, replacement of starter, lower ball joints transmission and throttle mounts, tinted windows added, front end alignment, satellite radio hookup and miracle shield exterior finish.
