Vehicle Detail
1997 BMW M3 Coupe 2-Door 3.2L RARE COLOR 5 Speed Manual 85,200 Miles! Up for Bidding is a garage queen sports car. It was bought by the current owner in 2001 with 58,000 miles (now has 85,200). The car has not seen snow and rarely was driven in the rain, average of 2000 miles per year since 2001. The owner is selling it because he has too many speeding tickets and this car is exceptionally fast and still runs great. Tires have 80% tread all around, the car is in great running condition and the exterior is pristine. I cannot emphasize enough how great this beast sounds at idle and going down the road. See photos. If you have questions in regards to the car feel free to message me. (owner's son) I will respond within 24 hours and get you in contact with my father. Serious offers only, bids from users with less than 5 ebay transactions will be ignored, deliver is not included, but the seller is willing to meet in Fort Wayne or Decatur. (at a bank or near a police station) Cash Only Transaction. Personal Message for more information. No leaks, I have never see a drip from when I have parked the car and moved it weeks later. The under body does not look like a BP oil spill. The clutch is in good condition. At high RPMs it will occasionally grind when it goes into 4th gear, I usually baby it and shift into 4th at low RPMS or if I go over 4,500 rpms I will skip to 5th gear or just coast because I will already be well over the speed limit if I come anywhere near the redline in 3rd. The car has been owned in the Midwest since 2001, bought from Tomkinson Chrysler Plymouth in Fort Wayne IN. 7-spoke Alloy WheelsCD ChangerMemory Door LocksFlip-Out Rear Side WindowsSunRoofSplit Folding middle Rear SeatsRainsense Whipers City MPH = 20 HWY MPH 28 On Sep-09-14 at 15:06:05 PDT, seller added the following information: ===========I am trying to answer questions as the come in about the car, any question I answer via email I will try and update on the ebay page too.=====================Stock exhaust, air intake is K&N, new fan, water pump was replaced with flush in 2008 (got rid of the plastic one for the better metal one) and new battery. The stereo is all stock. The entire car was repainted in 2006, (except for the top and trunk). The previous owner had chips on the hood and my Dad wanted to keep this car pristine. (Before this he restored a TR6 to its full glory, rebuilt engine and full body repaint) This car was not a daily drive it was a toy for a big kid that loves cars. I was asked how much it would cost to fix the shifting into 4th issue and I do not have a good answer. I know that my Dad had the dealership put synthetic fluid to see if it would resolve the issue but it still have the issue at high rpms. I am guessing over a grand unless it is a simple overlooked fix. It does not happen during everyday driving just when you want to really get on the car. The overall quality of the clutch is solid, it feels great and the working the pedal feels smooth. It was not worth replacing for the slight inconvenience in my Dad's point of view. Mine too, I drove it to work today and did not have an issue until I tried make it happen when I was going 60-65 going to work this morning. Horsepower is 240
