THANK YOU AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL! 1968 Ford Mustang Custom ConvertibleIntroduction Hello, I’m Marc Schiliro the owner of MS CLASSIC CARS,LLC. You might recognize my name or my business name from beautiful classic cars and trucks I’ve listed for sale nationally. I’ve got over 15 years of classic car and truck experience. I’d like to put that experience to work for you. Over the years I’ve featured many classic cars and trucks at multiple different auctions across the United States. I consign multiple classic cars and trucks at all four of the Barrett Jackson auto auctions every year. I’m considered one of the top consignors at Barrett Jackson. I’ve had many classic cars and trucks sell in the top 25 highest sale priced vehicles for each event. They’ve also offered some of my cars as the “Marc Schiliro Collection”. I was fortunate to have Speed TV at my new facility for an interview for Barrett Jackson that aired during the Barrett Jackson auto auction in Palm Beach 2012. I’m a regular consignor at the Mecum auctions as well. I also have had many cars that have been featured in multiple magazines and multiple websites. I specialize in beautiful classic cars and trucks that have what I call “The Pop Factor”. I purchase classic cars and trucks that are finished, I redesign other people’s restorations and have also coordinated restorations from start to finish. I’m currently not doing full restorations as it takes too much time and money. I love what I do and I’m extremely passionate about it! Two years ago I opened a beautiful new facility located in Seekonk, MA. MS CLASSIC CARS is open to the public on Saturdays. We offer about 25 classic cars and trucks for sale. We also offer complete automotive detailing. Our facility is very neat and organized. When you call you deal directly with me. I appreciate the opportunity. We except all trades. If you’d like to be added to our VIP EMAIL BLAST that gets sent to thousands of people when we get a new addition please visit my website and sign up. Please also like us on Facebook for updates. The power of networking is amazing! Market I've been collecting classic cars and trucks for over fifteen years now and have seen a lot happen. I've seen the hobby continue to grow not only at the auctions but also with the amount of television shows, magazines and websites that are related to classic cars in some form or another. I strongly believe the classic car market is a great place to invest in. When the economy is strong, the classic car market is extremely strong. When the economy isn't so strong the classic car market holds its own. I've sold classic cars and trucks in both economic conditions. The reason classic cars make such a great investment is because people are crazy about cars, especially the classics! I've learned it's not just the United States; it’s the entire world. Barrett Jackson stated, "Foreigners can sometimes represent 25% of the registered bidders at one of our auctions." At the Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale, AZ 2011 they stated, "There was a registered bidder from every state in the USA.” I've also learned that no matter the gender or age, all different people appreciate this hobby. Another example would be the Barrett Jackson auto auctions; not only do millions of people watch it live on the Speed Channel but hundreds of thousands of people attend these auctions. Every year the attendance of visitors at the event and number of viewers on T.V. increase. Over the years I've noticed that the extremely detailed classic cars have always commanded a higher price. Even people who don't have any classic car experience can recognize and appreciate attention to detail. Currently the overall market is on the raise once again. Certain classic cars are on the rise and others are on the decline. Typically, the classic cars that are on the rise are the cars that a lot of people don't own. In other words, there are classic cars that haven't saturated the market. The cars that are at every car show and auction and page on the Internet for sale are the ones that aren't changing in value or are slowly on the decline. Of course, if the car is spectacular it will command a higher price as I mentioned. It's all about supply and demand, not a good or bad economy. Custom cars have remained strong because each car is different from the next one. They each have their own character. “I’m putting my money where my mouth is” I’m just a 38 year old blue collar guy who was working full time selling new and used Mercedes Benz. I was selling my classic cars and trucks part time. Although I had my used car dealers license I didn’t have a facility that was open to the public. Overall things were going just fine. However, my dream was to open my own classic car and truck dealership. I decided to give up my full time job with health insurance and a 401K to open a new classic and truck dealership. I had to invest a ton of money to make that happen and now have a lot more overhead. Do you think I would’ve done all that if I didn’t think the classic car and truck market wasn’t going to remain strong? I consign anywhere from three to eight cars at each Barrett Jackson auto auction at no reserve because I know there’s always going to be bidders for classic cars and trucks. Description1968 Ford Mustang Custom Convertible ORIGINAL C-code which is a 289-2V engine! Deluxe Marti Report included! Over $45,000 invested in documented receipts for total restoration completed in 2008. It’s only been driven about 2000 miles since! This is a perfect classic car for someone who’s looking for a great looking, fun and reliable driver that can take a trophy home at car shows! This car has spent its entire life in MA until it was sold July 26th, 1997 to the couple I purchased it from a few weeks ago. As the Deluxe Marti Report indicates it was built on January 11, 1968. It was sold new at Suddard Ford located in Wareham, MA. It was ordered Acapulco blue with black top and interior, black-out hood treatment, 289-2V V8 engine, C-4 cruise-o-matic transmission, 2.79 gears, power steering, AM radio, remote control left hand mirror and wheel covers! As stated above this car was sold to local couple on July 26th, 1997 for $3500.00. The car was in average condition so their long term plan was to eventually do a full restoration. In the meantime they would enjoy its company. In August of 2000 they took the car to City Auto body in Newport, RI to have all new floors installed which was roughly $2000.00. In August of 2007 they decided to do a complete restoration and took the car to River Street Collision in Dedham, MA. They completed the car in the summer of 2008. The owners had some of the upholstery and mechanical work done elsewhere. Between all the receipts included with the car more than $45,000 was invested! The exterior of this Mustang consists of mostly all new sheet metal including a complete front clip from the firewall forward. The body is nice and the gaps are good. The hood, doors and trunk open and close nicely. The car was painted in Ford 2002 Laser red which is a great color. The body and paint has been done very well but it’s not over the top. If you’re looking for a laser straight body and very high end paint job I would suggest purchasing a higher end show car. Overall it only has a few imperfections. Everything on the exterior was replaced other than the glass window frames. The top is a EZ on auto top which is cloth and was professionally installed by Chick Custom Auto Upholstery which cost $2602! The car sits on brand new 17” Eleanor GT40 style wheels and Nexen tires that are 225/45/17 on the front and 245/45/17 on the rear. It also has a set of original style wheels with tires that are included! The black interior is mostly brand new other than a few items here or there. All of the gauges, lights, horn and heater are in working order. All of the windows roll up and down including the rear windows. The top goes down effortlessly. Some interior upgrades include a Grant steering wheel, Kenwood Cd player with USB hookup and Infinity speakers and new custom carpeted floor mats! The trunk compartment and gas tank was all replaced. It was painted the same color as the exterior body and looks really nice! The engine compartment is very clean and houses the new Jegs Performance 5.0L HO 302 create engine. This engine has many upgrades including such items as an Edlebrock 600 CFM carburetor and Intake Performer, Mustang air cleaner, polished aluminum Ford Racing valve covers, MSD ignition system and Ford Racing wires. The engine was professionally installed by SRA Performance Transmissions. It starts and runs amazing. It doesn’t have any overheating issues. I personally have driven this Mustang about 50 miles in town and on the highway and it’s an overall great driving car! The engine is coupled to a C-4 automatic transmission with mild shift kit. This transmission and rear end was completely rebuilt by SRA Performance Transmissions! Power steering and power brakes with front disc! The undercarriage of this Mustang is also very clean and has a ton of modern and expensive upgrades. As mentioned above it has complete new floors. Some of the upgrades include the following: KAR Mustang Front Suspension kit #983 ($1850) 1. Maier Racing upper and lower control arms that were boxed. 2. Edlebrock coil springs/shocks. 3. Poly bushings. 4. 1” drop kit. 5. 1” front sway bar. 6. Power steering upgrades. KAR Mustang Front brake kit #221 ($995) 1. SSBS front disc brakes and rotors. 2. Master Power master cylinder. KAR Mustang Rear Suspension kit #218 ($489) 1. Performance leaf springs. 2. Performance rear shackle. 3. KYB rear shocks. 4. Rear sway bar with bushings and U bolts. MS CLASSIC CARS COMPLETED A FULL CLASSIC CAR DETAIL VALUED AT $400! “As my website indicates I’m a huge fan of all Mustangs from 1964 to present. I’ve owned some beautiful Mustangs over the years with some selling in the $100,000+ range. This Mustang isn’t one of those cars but a really nice driver. I actually acquired this car from the Mercedes Benz dealership I use to work for. They called me to put a trade in value on this car as the owner was buying a new car. After they made the deal and I got the car I learned the owner lived right down the street from me. I went to their house and was able to hear the entire story about the car and get all the receipts that I went through and organized. It’s documented that over $45,000 was invested in this car from start to finish. I added the new Eleanor GT40 style wheels with tires that was $1700! The original wheels and tires are included. This car has recently been completely serviced and it’s ready to go. I personally have driven this car about 50 miles and overall I’m very impressed. It’s truly a turnkey car. I think it’s perfect for someone who wants a really nice driver that they can take to the beach, go get ice cream or attend a car show with less. Get it before someone else does!” Marc Schiliro – the owner. Inspection Report"Unfortunately most classic vehicles that are being advertised for sale by dealers and private parties aren't exactly what's being advertised for sale. This is an industry with no real guidelines and everyone's opinion is completely different. The average consumer doesn’t realize classic vehicles weren’t restored at the factory and are being restored by people in their garages. Everyone’s level of restoration experience is different and it shows in the restoration. An example would be a classic vehicle that's being advertised as an original model with matching numbers could be a phony with a reproduction trim tag and re stamped numbers on the engine block, etc. Another example would be a classic vehicle is being advertised as a full restoration when indeed only a few things have been restored. There are many classic vehicles listed for sale that have cosmetic and mechanical issues with such items as the lights, body hinges, gauges, window components, steering components, upholstery, engine leaks and tuning, radiators, transmission, rear end, brake components and suspension components. The consumers are spending thousands of dollars repairing the classic vehicles they've purchased after the sale. At MS CLASSIC CARS I own the entire inventory and take pride in what I sell. I'm not a consignment dealer who is only looking to make a quick buck on a vehicle that they don't even own. We’ve seen dealers and private parties purchase classic vehicles at auctions and online and immediately list them for sale. They never even touched the vehicle. Even with 15+ years’ experience and having collected and sold over 250 classic vehicles I’ve experienced that ALL the classic vehicles need some attention. Obviously some need more than others but the bottom line is they all need something. I do the best of our ability to purchase quality classic vehicles, prepare them and advertise them honestly. To be clear were not in the restoration business. I collect and sell classic vehicles that have already been restored and do our best to bring them to another level with service and detail work. Unlike many dealers when you call or email to inquire about a classic vehicle you speak directly to me. I purchases all the classic vehicles for MS CLASSIC CARS, follow the service and detail process, write the descriptions, take the photos, advertise them for sale and answers all the calls and emails. I'll personally go over the entire vehicle and tell you everything I knows about it. I'll also give you my personal opinion about the classic vehicle of your choice and decide if it’s truly the right fit for you. If you've read the introduction tab or visited myr website you’ll probably agree I'm a bit of a perfectionist and represent very detailed classic vehicles. MS CLASSIC CARS has a great reputation and we continue to raise the bar in the classic car and truck world. These are older vehicles and aren’t new but were doing our best to make them function, look great and honestly describe them. I sell our classic cars and trucks very quickly because consumers see the value. Once you've committed to purchase a classic vehicle from MS CLASSIC CARS, I'lll make it a very easy process from start to finish. Once the funds have cleared I'll immediately mail the paperwork USPS 2-day air. A CD with the description and photos of the vehicle you purchased will be included in the package. I'll also assist in enclosed door to door transportation. I look forward to working with you. Thank you for the opportunity!
