Vehicle Detail

Serious Inquiries Only, Please You are bidding on my vintage, classic, 1979 European model Mercedes Benz 250 E-Klasse. This model was not manufactured for sale in the United States. It was bought in Germany, new, and shipped here by the original owner, who has since passed away. This vehicle is about 80% restored, and is also my daily driver. Rough estimate about $2000 to finish the restoration, and then you'll have a car worth between seven and ten grand. This vehicle has 164,000 original miles on it, with roughly 20,000 on a new motor and transmission. The battery is new, it just had an oil change and there are four brand new tires on it, which I purchased about two weeks ago. The interior is in remarkable condition, considering the age. There are no rips or tears in the seats, door panels or headliner. Some of the carpet is worn away by the door frames, and there is one small hairline crack in the dashboard. Other than that, it is in great condition. The vehicle will need front brake pads and an alignment soon. The only mechanical repairs that will need to be done is swapping out the tie rods and replacing some of the ceramic fuses, and a bushing would do wonders in the linkage. There is some rust around the wheel wells, and the right front fender. The hood ornament is glued on, so you'll want to replace that, too. As with many models made for sale in Europe back in the 60's and 70's, this car does not have factory air conditioning. _________________________ If you don't know much about these cars, please pass on this. Again, it is my daily driver and I'd take this car to California and back, but if you are looking at this vehicle as just cheap transportation, remember it is a Mercedes, and I know what it is worth now, and what it will be worth when in top condition. This car has no title, but it's age does not warrant the need for one in many states. A bill of sale and a form from the local police department is usually all that is needed to get it registered.
