Up for sale is a beautiful, professionally maintained 2001 Honda VFR 800 F1 Interceptor. This particular model is legendary for its ease of maintenance and phenomenal record for reliability, as well as stability on the track. This was the last year Honda made the VFR Interceptor with the gear driven cams. The deep growl of the motor sounds spectacular!Only 13,401 miles and always garaged indoors with dust cover. Bike has never been down.I am the second owner. First owner sold because it was his second bike and he no longer rode it. On Sep-02-14 at 18:28:12 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE 9/2/14: Pictures have been uploaded of the bike as it sits right now.I've made sure to upload photos of the holes bored by the previous owner for the frame sliders to show quite literally the ONLY blemishes visible on the bike (both easily remedied).The hole on the starboard side can easily be corrected by the cutting of a slightly bigger hole - which should have been done in the first place. The hole on the port side is similarly fixed, with EITHER a slightly larger hole -OR- a decal, as the blemished area does not extend much further than the hole itself. These two holes, again, are quite literally the ONLY negatives of the bike. Tires are in great condition with a LOT of miles ahead of them.Brakes are also in great shape.There are no leaks of any kind, and no unexpected noises. This bike is in mechanically excellent condition, and (with the exception of the holes bored for the frame sliders) also in excellent physical condition. I wanted to make sure I uploaded these photos well in advance of the bike hitting its reserve so that the winning bidder knows EXACTLY what every positive AND negative of the bike are.
