Rare 1972 Mercedes 350SL in European trim. Privately imported from Germany in the late ’80 to Seattle, WA the car had remained in the same ownership since, always babied and garaged. Original owner has since had deceased and his daughter had sold the car to me. Considering the vintage condition of the car is simply stunning: flawless bodywork, paint and chromework, very nice interior, excellent roadworthiness. Never any accidents or rust damage. Recently updated with new carpet kit + custom floor mats, new battery, new soft convertible top, new tires, brake overhaul and engine service. Matching hardtop included. The car performs as well as it looks. Free revving European 3.5L V8 is seriously fast, brakes are excellent, and transmission is smooth and quiet. The car was updated to electronic ignition for added reliability. I should mention that this modification had disabled the rev counter. This mod is reversible however. Very desirable color combination, silver over lipstick, rare 4-seater option. Given the rarity and condition the car is a keeper and a sound investment. Lack of storage space forces sale.
