Hello and thanks for looking at my1969 Chevrolet C10 short bed fleet side. This truck gets a LOT of attention. Every time It's driven it gets thumbs up or I hear a story from people about one they or their family/friends used to have. I hate to let it go but could use the money for other projects. The truck had a restoration done on it four years ago by the previous owner. This is not a perfect "show" truck, but it's what I would describe as a very nice driver. The truck has very nice paint, a beautiful interior, a tonneau cover, good looking wheels/tires, and has been lowered 2" in front and 3" rear. It has power steering, power drum brakes, tilt wheel and a rebuilt, slightly modified 350 engine and turbo 350 automatic transmission with shift kit. The engine has a performance camshaft, headers, an Edelbrock intake manifold, Edelbrock carburetor with electric choke, Edelbrock chrome valve covers and chrome air cleaner. Also it has dual exhaust with turbo style mufflers for a very nice sound and a loping idle. The truck runs, drives and shifts very well, has great power, excellent oil pressure and always stays cool, (it has an electric fan and a flex fan). A lot of new items have been installed on it as well. The list includes, THESE PARTS ARE ALL NEW: Chrome bumpers and brackets front and rear Grille and grille surround Headlight bezels and Chevrolet bow tie hood emblem Side marker lights Outside door handles and locks Tail light bezels and tail gate trim Door panels, arm rests, inside door handles and window crank handles Door weather strips and window rubber seals and felts Dash pad, sun visors, rearview mirror Dome light, courtesy lights, glove box light Carpet, floor mats and door sill plates Seat upholstery and Three point shoulder style seat belts Rebuilt GM tilt steering column, new turn signal switch and new Corvette style steering wheel Horns Front and rear lights wiring harnesses Tonneau cover Battery, starter, water pump, fuel pump, plug wires and plugs WHAT THE TRUCK COULD USE: First thing that could use upgrading is to change the front drum brakes to discs. If you step on the brake pedal hard, the truck pulls to the right. If you push the pedal slowly, they work fine. Disc brake kits are fairly cheap, easy to find and install and offer better braking. Also because of the cam lope at idle, the truck could use a mild stall torque convertor to keep from lurching at idle in gear. I just shift to neutral at lights or it can just be tolerated. Also the stereo that is in it now is not wired up and there are no speakers. This is a beautiful truck that can be daily driven or taken to cruises and shows.
