I am the 2nd owner of this well cared for '78 Datsun 510 hatchback. The owner was a sweet old lady who sold it to me 6 months before she passed away. She got the engine rebuilt in the early 90's and drove it for about 76,000 miles since then, I have put about 10,000 miles at the most since. It has a L20b engine and a 5 speed transmision. This car runs great! i used to drive this to work and back everyday, but i would hate to put more miles on this rare classic when someone out there would restore it instead. This is a super rare car and worth well over what im selling it for. You really have to see it in person to apreciate. It has minimal rust, only spot that might be a concern is where the windshield meets the wipers, it should be a quick fix for someone who knows bodywork. I've recently done a full tune up to it and got a new water pump and coil which both parts have a lifetime warranty. By full tune up i mean the following; K&N air filter, spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, fuel filter, coil, thermostat and oil change. New brakes were installed about 200 miles ago. I put a kenwood CD player in the glovebox and two pioneer 6x9 speakers with boxes in the back, it sounds great! This mod was made with keeping the car in original shape in mind, so there's a small hole inside the glovebox for the wiring. This is the original paint, a quick detail with wax will make the yellow pop out again. You really have to see it in person to appreciate this classic, for it's age, it is amazing! I am the second owner and have a folder full of service receipts and documents the previous owner handed me when I bought it. The interior is great for a 36 year old car, the driver's seat has some tears but nothing too bad. the headliner hangs a bit but doesnt bother much, no tears on that. The back seats can fold down and you have tons of room for luggage or whatever you need, very roomy. This car was loved and I am praying that the next owner knows how rare this car is and is going to care for it like it should be.
