Vehicle Detail
1967 Ford Mustang Convertible Up for bid is this classic 1967 Mustang convertible. We just inherited it and looking to sell. We just don't have the time to restore it but would like to see it go to someone who can. What we know:The car has a 302 engine 2 barrel carb, automatic transmission and runs good and drives although we have never actually had it on the road. The engine has had a new gasket kit put on and there are no leaks in the exhaust. The tires are approx. 85%. Car does not appear to be leaking any fluids anywhere. Gas tank appears to be in good shape and has no leaks. We recently just had the brake fluid changed and brakes bled. Mechanic said brakes were in good shape. The body is in good shape and complete. The front right and left quarter panels have been replaced. Interior is in great shape and is the two tone blue pony interior. The seats are not torn but do need a good cleaning, door panels are good, glass is good and door windows operate as they should. I’ve never had the top up to see what condition it is in. I can hear the power top working but it may be jammed. I do have some of the chrome trim pieces that are not currently shown on the car. I was told by the previous owner that this car was a GT, it has the GT hubs and hood and is a five lug car and also dual exhaust, but we’re not absolutely certain. The previous key was lost so we put a new ignition switch and key in it but it does not work the door locks. Doors do open and close with ease. The car was stored inside prior to us owning and we have stored the car inside since we've had it. This is a great car as a base for a great restoration project. Better than most I have seen for sale currently. While it is in good shape, it is a project car and does have some body components that are in need of repair. The car was primed at one time which is what you see on it now. I took photos for you to look at and I do have a short video of the car running. If you are interested, you may email me your cell or email and I can either email the video or text it to you. Email is shannonrk73@gmail.com . I do have clear title to the car. Again, we haven’t owned the car very long but just do not have time to restore it. I have not plated or registered it. Serious bidders only please. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and arrangements of shipping. Payment is due within 3 business days of auction ending via PayPal, wire transfer or cashier's check. Please note that the car is for sale locally also. This is the first time car has been up for sale so it’s a fresh sale! Won’t last long!!!!! This is a NO RESERVE auction however with the car being for sale locally, we reserve the right to end the auction early. Please ask questions prior to bidding! Car is being sold AS IS with no warranty expressed or implied on any element on the car. All information has been disclosed to the best of our knowledge. If you cannot or will not pay, please do not bid. Thank you and good luck! On Aug-22-14 at 15:07:53 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note: We HAVE matched the VIN from the title to the VIN on the driver's side door plate. Title states 1967. It was at one time a V6 car but through its life had been upgraded to a V8. When it happened or what other upgrades were made, I DO NOT KNOW. Could be the whole driveline but I am NOT certain.
