See below for more details. Hi, thanks for looking. Up for sale is a 2000 E-450 Super Heavy Duty Econoline Box Van / Truck with the hard to find 7.3L Power Stroke Turbo Diesel engine. This engine is over a $6,000 upgrade option when the van was brand new as these engines last a VERY long time. It's not unusual to see these engines with 350K - 1M miles! At 173K miles, this engine is barely broken in. The van has been fully inspected, has it's current maintenance and with everything fully functional & working as it should (Including engine & transmission) and is ready to do some serious work. Need a heavy duty box cube van that you don’t need a commercial drivers license to drive? Here you go, a 16 foot box on top of a rare and hard to find Ford Econoline E-450 dual rear wheeled chassis with a GVWR of 14,050 lbs, with a 176” wheel base as indicated on the VIN sticker in pictures. Comes with a 4.10 ratio Dana rear axle for maximum payload capacity. It’s easier and more nimble to drive than the larger box vans on top of larger diesel truck chassis, yet has a payload capacity as the big dogs! This van was gently used delivering furniture for a sunny Southern California Furniture company, so there is relatively no rust on the chassis of this van. Everything is fully functional on this van and it is ready for work. The front tires are near new tread at about 1/2", the rear wheels are at about 3/16” – 1/4", so they still have some good life left, about 5-10,000 miles worth estimated. There are no cracks on any tires. The brakes are in good shape. The van has the tried, true, reliable and durable 7.3L Powerstroke Turbo Diesel engine, currently with 173,550 miles. It’s not uncommon to see these engines still going strong at 300k, 500k and even 1 Million miles. Depending on who you talk to, most people prefer the 7.3L Diesel engine than the Ford Diesel engines in the later models. The engine and transmission both work very well and shifts are very smooth at all functions (in and out of park as well as while driving down the road and highway). A new battery & alternator were put in, along with new MAP & AIT sensors. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale along with the transmission fluid flushed for continued long term durability for the new owner. Synthetic motor oil was used as well as a synthetic additive for the transmission for peak performance and durability. There are no surprises or disappointments regarding the mechanics of this van. The box is made of aluminum and is in great shape. No accidents for either the van nor the box. It does have some light scuffs in a couple places but they are very hard to notice, they are very hard to detect in person as well as in pics, sorry. Overall, it has a very good condition inside and out. The box had been professionally repainted in recent past and the paint job is very hard to detect, it looks like a factory paint job, so the box has a shine and appearance that is near new (see pics). The roof seam where the van meets the box has been freshly sealed with the proper commercial grade caulking all the way around. The roll up door has new steel cables on both sides of the door (see pics) along with the door track receiving some maintenance/lubrication so the door lifts/opens very easily with one hand. The box also comes with a cargo stabilizer bar (see pic). The van also has an underbody lift gate that folds neatly out of the way under the van when not in use. The lift gate has a slip and scratch resistant surface for increased safety and appearance. Chip touch up was done on the hood and side body of the van as well. The van also has a unique monochrome appearance with the bumper, grill and light frames all being white to match the body. The van has a very clean, tasteful and new appearance to represent your company well. People will think you spent $25k or more on your new commercial van. The entire lift gate and top deck (topsides & undersides) were treated with a rust reformer treatment to treat any rust and make it a paintable surface. The top of the lift gate and step deck were painted with a bed liner paint for durability and a non-slip surface. The undersides and other liftgate surfaces were painted with a high performance commercial/heavy equipment grade enamel. New box door cables installed and track maintenance/lubrication performed for an easy single-hand lift operation. Brand new chrome rim caps and chrome accent anti-sail mud flaps. Box has been recently professionally re-painted to match van's factory Ford paint. Both box and van have excellent shine. Chip repair was performed on hood as well as any nicks found on the doors or quarter panels. No dash cracks, all trim is in excellent condition, no fading, cracks or broken pieces.
