Vehicle Detail
This is for a beautiful BMW R1200GSA. It has been garage kept and under motorcycle cover. Side bags are included in the sale which are all keyed off of the ignition key. These side cases are durable and rock solid (which they had better be since they cost almost $2K alone!) On the bike is also a throttle lock which makes those long trips easy on your throttle hand. All of the options are on this including heated grips, ABS, etc. Only thing I opted out of when purchasing was the ESA suspension as for the type of riding I planned on doing some suspension modifications that made that option useless. One thing to note - the auxiliary lights shown have been sold. Long story but the short of it was that I didn't like the stock Aux lights so I traded them out for ultra high output HID's which I'm keeping for my truck. I have both the stock Tourance tires that have just over 800 miles on them as well as the tires that I currently have on which are the Heidenau K60's. If you haven't tried this tire - it has surprising good manners both on and off road. They aren't as off-road aggressive as the Conti's folks put on nor as on-road aggressive as the Tourances. I'll include both sets of tires to whomever purchases. I tried several different types of tires and these were the best in my opinion for both worlds! I averaged 1 trip every other year and then small trips each throughout the year. I'm meticulous with oil changes so it was done in the spring and fall of each year. This baby is almost brand new!On Aug-23-14 at 16:41:06 PDT, seller added the following information: *Quick edit - For those that are familiar with these bikes know that the options are many and I wanted to clarify my above statement on the options to ensure everyone knows what they are bidding on. I was careful in choosing the options when purchasing as I've had 2 other BMW bikes and knew what I would use in my riding style. To answer some frequently asked questions that I'm receiving on the options - No TPMS - (Didn't get at the time as I never used on my other bikes but with the computer it's an easy add on)No ESANo ASCIt's a great bike and does it's job beautifully. You won't be disappointed. I've had a couple of requests of close up shots of the tires so I will add those to this listing soon so that all can see. I should also add that I just went on one last ride so now the mileage is about 1,850 (I promise I'll resist any more rides!). I'll take a pic of the mileage and post that up as well. Anything else - please ask! On Aug-24-14 at 18:54:05 PDT, seller added the following information: OK Ebayer's! A couple of things: First off - I did end up getting the TPMS system when I purchased the bike even though I didn't want it but unfortunately I could not find a bike without it installed. I remembered this as I was cleaning off the dust from yesterday's ride and saw the stickers on the wheels.Second - as you saw I took several new photos today of the things folks are asking about such as mileage, handlebars, and tires. Third - I also decided to do a little video walk around this afternoon and posted it on youtube. Link: http://youtu.be/aVdmRGSObIo Finally - while it starts just fine the battery feels just a tad weak. Several of you are thinking of flying out and ride it home (I've done this on my last 3 bikes I purchased and there is no more exciting way to buy a bike!). I mention this because while I don't think you will have an issue, I also don't want to risk anyone being stranded. If I was keeping the bike I would get one of the new Lithium Iron batteries from Shorai (I've put in all of my bikes and they crank like crazy!) If you win this and want that battery - I'll go in 50% with you. They are $225 batteries but worth every penny in my book. BMW AGM replacements are $165 and aftermarket batteries are $80. If you don't want to get one of the new Lithium batteris, I'll just put in a new aftermarket battery before you take off.
