Vehicle Detail
The good: A daily driver with cold AC & warm heat!. New brake rotors & pads all the way around Nov 23rd 2013 (have receipt). 3rd row seating!! Power windows, Power Mirrors, Power drivers seat. Rear seats all flip up for 3rd row access or to create a larger cargo area. Windows tinted. Non Smoking car. Towing Package, We bought this car from a dealership in 2006 with 47k miles on the odometer at the time. Does not burn oil or leak fluids. The previous engine locked up with 157k miles on it in 2011. The body, trans & rear end now has 197k miles & it's still a daily driver. The Engine was replaced with a certified engine that had a 3 Year, UNLIMITED MILE warranty from a local Louisville Ky company called Besslers Auto Parts. It was professionally installed by one of their recommended shops called Haley's Automotive. (Have receipts) I spent OVER $3000.00 on that engine replacement!! I wanted it done right. The replacement engine was installed had 75k miles on it when we bought it from Besslers (June 7th 2011), was installed & completed on June 30th 2011 at Haley's. So based on the current 197K miles, since the engine swap, it would now have around 115k miles on the engine. (all that might be confusing, but I am trying to spell out in detail what you are getting) Tires are at about 50% tread. There are minimal dings on hood of Explorer & roof due to hail damage. Not large dings by any means, but they are there & need to be disclosed. There is the typical crack in the plastic trim BELOW the rear hatch windshield (not the glass, but the plastic trim below it). This is a design flaw & if they haven't been replaced, all of these designs has them. (I'm sure there are exceptions, but very few don't) The tail gate does have a small ding, that I can't get to show up in the pics.. I'll try to take another pic to show it. The bad: Engine light is on & Anti Brake light is on. Pulled the code & says vacuum leak.. haven't found it yet. OD light does occasionally flash.. but as mentioned above the trans does shift slow into higher hears.. I would drive it anywhere. But eventually trans will need to be looked at, at 197k miles I am assuming needs rebuilt or replaced... but we still drive it. No engine noises, no knocks, does not smoke! Emergency brake does not work. I never use it, didn't see the point on getting it fixed. Priced accordingly! If any questions feel free to ask. Base your bid on the vehicle as described, feel free to ask any questions & please review my feedback & know that I feel honesty is very important! It's not a perfect car, but it's a good SUV for the price. Lots of life left! The title is a clean clear title, not rebuilt or salvage. Though the mileage will no longer be accurate once we sign it over due to the engine replacement. PLEASE NOTE! I owe a small amount left on the loan of the Explorer, so the bank does have the title. Once sold, I will get that in, sign it over to you & send you on your way, if we can plan it out accordingly I'm sure you would like to leave with title in hand (the same as I would) so we can arrange pickup once I receive the title, or I will provide paperwork the same as a dealership will stating that the title is owed to you with in "x" amount of days. Payment is expected in certified funds. Once a bid is placed, the BUY IT NOW will be gone! A $500 difference guarantees that you won't be outbid! Happy bidding & enjoy your Ford Explorer! Thanks!
