Here is my 8 year long restoration project, This is a 1974 Honda XL70 I received this from a friend when her dad died and I started to restore it when I found parts for it, This bike RUNS GREAT !!!!!! Due to some sudden health issues I am selling it. here is a list of things I have done so far. New front and rear tires, ( never ridden) New rear wheel with new spokes and rim, laced and in true New NOS front brake, clutch, throttle, speedeo cables New NOS headlight, grips, air filter,carb rebuild kit, intake manifold , manifold rubber New NOS peg rubber , NOS right side switch New NOS side panels ( brand new NOS factory COLOR ) I had the gas tank and fenders professionally painted ( $500.00) This comes with a Bag 20 miscellaneous NOS parts Original XL70 owners manual new fork seals and wipers( Not installed ) New levers, lever covers New front and rear sprockets and NEW chain New seat cover THIS BIKE IS IN RUNNING CONDITION AND IT STARTS IN ONE TO TWO KICKS !!!!!! I started this bike restoration project 8 years ago,I will give you as much information as I can think of, PLEASE feel free to ask questions. I live in Mammoth Lakes Ca. 93546 , which is 300 miles north of La Ca. and 3 1/2 hours south of Reno Nev. I MAY, MAY --- be able to meet you part way, I will not ship this bike unless YOU,YOU take care of the shipping. The price I am asking is a fair price once you look at what is into this bike .The bike has about 3,000 miles I would say this is accurate with in 400 miles. This has always been a Ca. bike and has almost no rust, it was never abused and IS Ca. street Legal, It gets Over 60MPG on regular gas !!! insurance is $44.00 per year. I had a non op on it, but on May1 , 2014 I went to Ca. DMV and paid to make current, I have the pink slip in hand. I will not give this bike away, yet I need to sell it right now due to health issues. In just parts there is OVER $4,000.00 into it, I could part it out for more than the buy it now price. ( which I do not want to do, due to sentimental reasons, it was my friends dad's bike) My reserve and buy it now price is more than fair for this market and quality of this vintage bike.Once again this is a Street legal Ca. bike that runs, put gas in it and ride, you can not buy any Ca. street legal bike now days for less than $4,000.00 and this is a very cool vintage bike , great to ride around put on your motor home/ camper and ride. .
