BARN FIND . This el camino was just pulled out of a barn you will see the hay ,dust , and barn dirt in the pictures of the interior the out side got a quick wash. Straight 1969 SS el camino. Driver quality paint with flaws (not show quality, shiny and straight but has cosmetic flaws, paint is approx. 8 years old), looks great at 4 feet. This is a numbers matching 396 4 speed 12 bolt SS 1969 el camino we have checked the numbers and they are provided n this ad. It is not the original paint color. The original paint color is le mans blue with the black interior, bench seat and black vinyl top. This car was black when it was bought last in 1991. It was purchased as a running driving car in 1991 brought home and parked for the last 23 years. It is only being sold because of a divorce! We will run a 7 day auction, The engine is free and if we have time we may try to fire it up, this is not a promise just a possibility it has not been started in years, we are all working long hours and this came up at a bad time. The transmission was removed when it was repainted approx. 8 years ago to clean up the bell housing and check the flywheel teeth, the teeth were good the bell housing was cleaned and starter replaced. Included in the sale is all the original interior, bumpers, bench seat frame (in bad shape), grille, lights, tailgate, and a shifter, there is no carpet. Also included are 4 new wheel opening mouldings, a new radiator with hoses, new 4 speed floor hump panel, and purchased new in 1991 the original style 4 speed Hurst shifter and linkage still in the boxes. The quick auction is unfortunate but to the winning bidder this will be to there advantage because they will be getting what I believe is a great deal on an awesome original SS. We ran this car for sale on e-bay in June and high bid just missed reserve ,we did not sell it ,we are too busy to do this again. This will be a NO RESERVE auction and high bid gets it ! It will be for sale locally also ,we reserve the right to sell it before auctions end but if not sold by then HIGH BIDDER OWNES IT!! The truck comes with stock Chevrolet ralley wheels ,(not great condition), no centers or caps rims only .With tires good enough to move the car around ,again mag wheels on car are not included, stock rims only . I am VERY sorry, I know this creates confusion. (This is just common sense but I know I have to make this clear)On Aug-06-14 at 19:52:36 PDT, seller added the following information: I want all bidders to know the 4 speed Muncie transmission is not date coded for 1969. After a bidder checked the casing numbers I posted on here he informed me . I did look it up and this transmission casing number comes up 1965. It does have the correct 1" shaft for a big block. After a lot of research I believe this SS came from the factory with a standard SS package 3 speed. The 4 speeds were an additional option. This elcamino appears to be the basic SS with no other options. No AC, no tach dash, no 4 speed (from the factory, it does now have and is included a Muncie 4 speed and new shifter), no bucket seats and no big HP 396 .
