Up for bids is this all original 1972 mustang mach 1. This car has an interesting story. I bought this car 2 months ago from the original owners son. His dad bought the car brand new in 1972. In 1979 his dad passed away. After he passed the son nor his mother ever got the car out of the garage until I bought it. Yes that's right--it has been out of service since 1979. The car still has the 79 tags and the inspection sticker in the window from 1979. The car is in superb running condition. This car is a Q code 351 cobra jet with the 4 speed, 3.25 traction lock rear. The car has power windows, power steering, air conditioning, rear window defroster, intermittent wipers, in dash tack with the full gauge package, parking brake warning light, seat belt buzzer and key buzzer all in working order and the fold down rear seat. The interior is flawless which includes seats, carpet and dash. The clock even works. Trunk is in mint and perfect shape with the spare tire which has never been out. It even as the air canister for the spare. The frame is in super shape as is the shock towers and aprons. Floor pans are excellent. All the lights work even trunk light. Hood engine compartment light is missing bulb. The car has an original vinyl roof. Now for the body.. Another story here. After the father died the mother decided she needed 20 something cats, guess where they lived? Yes you guessed it in the garage with the car. Fortunately the windows had been up in the car so not one single mouse got into this car. That is what has kept the interior in mint shape. The cats loved to sleep on the hood that is why he hood has rust where the scoops are. Also the top part of the cowl rusted out where the wipers bolt to. I have the wiper assemblies and the screens. The cat pee ate it away. But this car does not smell of cats at all... All the body panels are original, the lower part of the body has surface rust from sitting in the garage. Windshield has a crack it from sitting. Car runs and drives like it is new with a little over 81,000 original miles. The car also has power disc front brakes and power radio antenna. I put new plugs in the car, new wires, new coil, new voltage regulator, new front wheel bearing, new front rotors, new back wheel cylinders and a new master cylinder. When we loaded the car up he gave me the original window sticker and protecto plate plus all the paper work from when his father ordered the car from new.
