Vehicle Detail
Nice driver condition with no real mechanical issues. Drives straight and smooth. Due to replacement to HD coil springs and gas shocks, the Pontiac drives with a controlled pliant ride. Not the normal sea-sick wallow normally experienced in these land yaughts. Notice how nice the car sits up. No sag usually apparent after years of use.Stops smooth and "no hands" straight.Air conditioning is still functioning fine. Still R12.This was an one family car until I purchased. Was garaged every day of its life until it was recently professionally painted. The Pontiac was out 21 days during the painting prep process. At which time the Florida sun did unfortunately crack and weather the dash top. Not shown in pics is a dash cover that hides the cracks and protects from further damage. Upon retrieval from the paint shop, the Pontiac is once again garaged.Speaking of paint, the family had the Pontiac repainted from a beige/brown vinyl top to a taxi cab yellow with black vinyl top .When I purchased, I was catching a lot of flack about the color combination. So $2500 later, I had the Pontiac totally repainted a darker shade white (2 step base clear) that included removal of the vinyl roof. Painted Feb this year. I also had the bumper inserts deleted and the bumper brackets modified to fit flush. A much cleaner look. The paint shop was amazed at the total lack of rust on this old an vehicle. Never rust nor rust repair. Body is straight. When repainted, the shop removed both front and back glass for thorough prepping. They broke the windshield, thus a new windshield was installed. The 58K mileage shown on the ODO is undocumented. The only person who could verify the mileage passed away. The remaining family members could not verify, but stated the transmission was rebuilt and engine work done. Both operate flawlessly. VIN is 2L57R3P271066. You know the drill. No warranty is implied or expressed. - $250 deposit due within 48 hours via PP - Remainder within 7 days of end of auction - Any form of payment ok, but vehicle will not be released until payment is cleared and verified - New owner responsible for pick up or shipping. I do reserve the right to end this auction, if the vehicle becomes no longer available. Questions? 'EBay Mail' questions and I will certainly answer. Provide a phone number and I will call you back. Posting my number will result in a slew of scammer attempts. Not to mention those pesky "sell your car for a fee" rip off operations. Think someone will enjoy this treasure from the day. Good luck and happy bidding! Value of the car is what the market will bear. For your information, the Pontiac is insured for $10,000 stated (actual) value. On Aug-10-14 at 13:31:18 PDT, seller added the following information: Original full cover Pontiac hubcaps will accompany the vehicle if requested. Average condition.Original jack and dry rotted 8.25x15 (holding air) spare all are part of the sale. The tires on the Pontiac have only about 200 miles on them but are about 2 years old. Raised white letters to the inside. The oil and filter have about 50 miles. Royal Purple Classic Zinc Formula Synthetic 10W-40. This engine is like it was balanced and blueprinted. It is so smooth at idle. Not saying it was, just the way it runs. I run only non-ethonal 89 octane. The original owner only ran high octane Amoco White, although this engine will run on an 87 octane diet. The family told me that the Father, the original owner for most of the cars life, was a zealant about maintenance. When something wore out, it was replaced by the best heavy duty replacement possible. An example is that the oil pressure runs 60-75 PSI. A HD high capacity pump was installed (and gauge) because of a flickering oil light at idle (which is normal). And the before mentioned springs/shocks are another example. This is a good grade driver. But will not take a whole lot (subjective I guess), to take it to the highest level. A fine cruise in ride as is now. And SOOO mechanically right. Again feel free to contact me for more info.
