Vehicle Detail

This is probably one of the cleanest, rust free garage kept 1973 Mercedes Benz 280SEL 4.5L for sale anywhere, very rare to come by, in a pristine condition(non smoking household), with a very low documented mileage and has a very elegant and rare color combination 2 tone paint exterior(beige with dark brown), over Palomino beige leather interior, so your long search ends here as this is a truly a turn key vehicle (please read below all the recent mechanical update done recently). Welcome and thank you for visiting my auction today.First, let me say that you are dealing with a Mercedes and BMW car enthusiast that enjoy collecting and driving these types of vehicles, and have been an EBay member since 2001 with a perfect score of 100%, so rest assure that you aredealing with a responsible and serious person. Please read all the information listed on this auction, as I took my time in writing this listing to represent my car very accurately to the next buyer. I will NOT bore you with all the stats and history behind this classic 41 years old Mercedes Benz W108. If you are looking at my listing you probably know the back ground of this fine automobile, and if you don’t, I strongly suggest to Google this car for more info. I looked long and hard for a well documented W108 body style, as they are very rare, especially in this color combination and the factory sunroof option, the 4.5L engine, and the low mileage. So, when I stumbled on this one thru a car collector in Seattle Washington, I flu there and bought it immediately and shipped it in an enclosed carrier to VA where I reside.I than took it to Auto Haus in Yorktown VA (a reputed Mercedes specialist shop) for a complete inspection, and passed with flying colors, and had all the fluids replaced (just out of precaution),and they noted that many mechanical items were updated/replaced as the previous owner had mentioned in all his records that he passed on to me. While at Auto Haus, they noted that the engine mounts needed to be replaced, I had them done (have the receipt). I have also performed some mechanical maintenance at European Cars of Williamsburg (reputable and well trusted Mercedes Benz experts please Google them) to make this Mercedes look and run perfect, and the following was done/repaired (have all the receipts):· Cleaned the fuse terminal.· Replaced fuel pump.· Cleaned fuse terminal.· Replaced fuses.· Replaced fuel pump wires ends with eyelet connectors.· Replaced the battery with the correct heavy duty one that comes with a 3 years replacement warranty (exp 07/30/2016).· Replaced all the wiring to the brake master cylinder.· Repaired the rear brake calipers.· Bled the braking system and replaced fluid.· Tighten all calipers brake lines.· Replaced the fuel injector point. Thru out my ownership of this beautiful Mercedes Benz, I took care of it very well and had oil changes done every 3 months even if it was driven less than 3K miles, Professionally treated all the seats to keep them looking brand new, and they really do (please refer to the pictures), had a full tune up done, and the list goes on (you got the picture…) This car is probably a strong 8.5 out of 10, for a 41 years old car, and they do not come for sale in this condition very often, the pictures speak for themselves. Everything works perfectly, even the clock on the dash board!! The 4.5L engine is powerful and run smoothly. The transmission shifts properly thru all the gears. The paint and the chrome trims are both in very good condition and still very shinny (8.5 out of a 10, please look at the pictures). The interior is in excellent condition (8.5 out of 10, just refer to the pictures), the dash free from any cracks and the wood is in pristine condition (except for a small spot by the bottom windshield of driver and passenger side is pealing), the rear seats looks like they never being sat on. The AC and heat are both working properly thru all the settings. The locking system for all the doors and trunk are opening and closing with out any issues. All the windows switches operate properly, the front seats slides forward and backward without any hesitation. The sun roof opens and closes with out any issue and the headliner is perfect (except for a tiny spot the size of a dime that can be fixed easily in the rear area). The antenna goes up and down manually without any issues, and the radio signal is strong and I have 100% reception of all my local stations. When placing a bid on this rare Mercedes Benz, please make sure to compare "apples to apples", and pay attention to the caliber car this is and most importantly who you are buying it from..... This 1973 Mercedes Benz 280SEL 4.5L drives and performs as it should, and will last forever with proper care and maintenance. The style, chic design and history behind this Mercedes W108 model will remain a classic for ever. Please expect some extra miles as this car will be driven occasionally until sold. I have the manual, the title with out any lien in hand, 2 keys for this car. If you are serious about owning this Benz, or would like to ask any question(s) regarding this fine automobile (that has not been covered on this add), please don't hesitate to contact me via the EBay email system. The only reason I am selling this Mercedes is because I just moved from Williamsburg VA to Boston MA, and downsized my residence, so space is becoming an issue. It is currently registered and insured in the state of Massachusetts. Please ask any questions via EBay email system and have your funds ready when bidding for this auction.
