1968 Ford Mustang Convertible I am selling my 1968 Mustang because frankly I don't have the time to restore it as it deserves. The pictures attached pretty much tell it all, it needs quarters as you can see and some misc. patching as you would expect from a 60's car, but it is a sweet Mustang Convertible, so it's worth it. It has a 6 cylinder that runs smooth and sounds good, I haven't ran it from the tank as I'm not sure what is in there, but I have from an external gas tank to see how the engine was internally and it was smooth and sounded really nice. It's an automatic. It needs to be restored, the top frame is good but the material is bad, the interior isn't perfect but as you can see it's not trashed by any means. As stated, it needs quarters but I think the rest of the sheet metal is good, or good enough to use. The city I live in makes it difficult to get a car inspected without driving it to the courthouse and they recommend waiting until the car is finished, so I'm working on getting that done so I can transfer the title; however, it is a clear title that hasn't been signed by me yet so it can be transferred straight to another owner (or wait until I can get that done by fighting with them to come to my house to inspect). I urge you to ask as many questions as needed and if possible come and look at the car in person before bidding. It will have to be towed as it is not drivable. On Aug-03-14 at 05:17:04 PDT, seller added the following information: Several people have asked about the condition of the inner rockers and frame rails. As was stated, there will need to be some repair done, being a convertible the frame is so much more significant to the structure of the car. Whether or not this is a concern depends on your comfort level with restoring a 45 year old car. Also, I have the car now inspected in KY so I can get the title transferred to me in 7 days if the buyer wants to wait, or it can be taken and bypass me.
