Vehicle Detail

0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false No reserve auction. Beautiful example of a well cared for 1990 420 SEL, a great example of a sought after Mercedes design. Autocheck score is almost 2x most cars of this vintage. This car was purchased by my grandfather, shipped from Germany, and besides selling it to a friend for a couple of years (I purchased it back) it has been in my family the entire time. Car has been meticulously maintained, and I have all service records. I know these cars very well as it has been my daily driver for a long time, and I can say with certainty that this is one of the best looking 420s I have seen, and it is definitely in better mechanical condition. These cars need to be driven, and I have been doing exactly that in addition to all up to date service records. You are going to be ensured that it is in great mechanical shape. Since 2009 I have spent $8400 on the car (have spreadsheet). The front end has been redone, the brakes have been recently fixed, and it has 4 new shocks. Cold and well functioning A/C, recently inspected with no leaks. There are no more than 267670 miles on the chassis, and a new engine with 125000 miles (I bought a salvage car and put in the engine and transmission) was put in as well as a new transmission at 224,226. The odometer stopped working in January (have receipts to show this, there are 263670 miles on the odometer) but the oil has been changed every 3 months since. I have not driven the car more than 3000 miles since January. There is a lot of life left in this machine, and it will give someone years of pleasure and safe travel. Michelins on the car are good. Leather interior, working sunroof, all windows working well. For a car this age the seats and interior are in fantastic condition, as you can see. There are absolutely no tears on the roof of the interior. There are some slight cracks in the plastic speaker covers in the rear from sun exposure (the cover of the 3rd brake light has been replaced). The bottom line is that this car looks great and is mechanically sound. Please contact me with any questions. --917-568-4009Bid with confidence, great car, sold as is.
