1965 Mustang Coupe with an upgraded ‘70 351 Windsor engine. The car is originally a “C” code but had the 351W in it when purchased for restoration. The entire restoration project was fairly massive and the vehicle was stripped down to the chassis and frame for it. It’s easier to list the original parts that remained than listing all the new parts they are the following: Original chassis/frame rails, original rear-end and drive line, original doors/chassis/sheet metal, original glass, original seats, original rack and pinion steering, original brake drums and master cylinder. Everything else on the car was replaced with stock parts or equivalents. The only non-stock parts on the vehicle are the new gauge set, C4 Super Streeter transmission with 2800 Stall torque converter, and replacement emblems with reflect the larger engine. Here is a list of the items that were replaced: Head lights, tail lights, all wiring including main harness, shocks and springs, brake shoes and cables, brake lines, door locks and handles, trunk lock and latch, wiper transmission and wiper arms, interior carpet, mirrors internal and external, sun visors, heater blower motor, heater box with new heater core, interior switches and switch covers, gauges and bezel, glove box and glove box door, dash pad and trim, shifter and shifter linkage, antenna, gas tank and cap, fuel lines and sending unit, radiator and hoses, exhaust pipes and tail pipes. Gaskets, bushings, and rubber replaced on: engine, transmission, steering system, suspension system, doors, hood, and trunk. Engine items replace: timing cover, fuel pump, water pump, all bearings, all gaskets, intake manifold, carburetor, exhaust headers, harmonic balancer, oil pump, plugs and spark plug wires, distributor and cap, alternator. The distributor, water pump and alternator are refurbished.
