Vehicle Detail

I've decided to go ahead and sell my custom 1977 Corvette project. I really don't want to, but I have two other Corvettes I'm finishing and I don't have the time or space to finish this one anymore. Based on what I've seen custom late-model C3 Corvettes sell for, I'd place this one somewhere in the high 20's to low 30's once completed - and that is on the conservative side. The car is approximately 90% complete in terms of parts - labor will depend on your skills, or wallet. At this point the buyer needs to make the same decision I'm faced with, buy a crate engine and bolt it up (basically finish the car in about 40 hours), or build a custom engine. I wanted to build a custom engine, which takes months for me, not hours/weeks. Body Work & Interior Details:This Corvette is a custom built one-off body; hood is an Eckler's custom twin turbo, front clip is one solid piece door-to-door (eliminate body seams), lower chin spoiler is seamless, custom fabricated front turn signals, custom side mirrors, custom rockers are seamless, the entire custom rear clip is seamless, wide-body fenders look great - countless hours spent on fiberglass and paint work (paint is PPG Base/Clear).Interior has been completely re-upholstered; I personally don't care for the fabric look anymore, my intentions were to do a complete tear-out and replace with leather upholsteryExterior trim around the T-Top channels & windows looks really good, some light oxidization that will buff up, no heavy corrosion or pittingInterior hardware has been custom painted with a graphite semi-gloss, looks really sharpDoor panels have custom mirrored stainless steel lower inserts & custom Chevy Bow-tie logoDoor Sills are custom fit mirror stainless steelCenter gauge cluster looks great, gauges workedDash gauge cluster looks great, nothing broken or damagedOdometer is showing 26K, I have no documentation that can prove/support this - title states EXEMPT for odometer and that was in 1997. Common sense and real world experience would say it's probably not accurate. Past that, I'm not sure what mileage to call it since most of the car is new.Billet aluminum steering wheel with horn insert (this is not a cheap knockoff wheel you find at a parts store), billet aluminum steering wheel hub/collar, billet aluminum accessory wands, mirrored stainless steel gear indicator trim, custom Chevy "heartbeat" ash tray lid made from mirrored stainless steelCarpet looks really good, no heavy soil or stain marks, heal pad is in great shapeThe car has a little over $11K in body & paint work in itFrame, Mechanical, and Suspension Details:The entire engine bay horseshoe has been fitted with custom fabricated mirror stainless steelCustom fabricated mirrored stainless steel cowl coverEntire front-end and rear-end suspension has been completely disassembled, powder-coated with a medium gray w/mixed metallic flake, and reassembled with new bushings. This includes parts such as control arms, track arms, wheel spindles, leaf spring, shock body, connecting rods...Frame had been inspected while body was off and being worked on, no rust damage at all. 2/3's of the frame has been powder coated to match the suspension. Frame looks a lot better at a Car Show than just a standard black that everyone else doesTires have less than 200 miles on them; staggered set-up, mounted on 15" Centerline Aluminum rims. I believe the tires are 290's in the back, pretty wide tireRear axles, fuel tank, and transmission casing have also been powder coated to match - rear axles and fuel tank were done in a light silver for contrast. Center shaft has not been coated yet, it has been media blasted to clean it, but that's allAlternator, brake booster, brake fluid reservoir, starter, timing chain cover, upper pulley, brake calipers, and I think a few other items were also powder coated to match the rest of the car - several boxes of parts were done, not just a few bolt-on piecesMechanically, there's not much to say really. The original block was so scarred it wasn't worth refurbishing, the block that comes with the car is a 4-bolt 400 SBC, block code is GM 3951511. Block has been spray-sealed to prevent corrosion, comes with engine stand in pic. Block should be good for around 475-500 HP, but I wouldn't plan anything higherThe heads are Patriot Performance aluminum heads, fully built/dressed with valves, springs, seats, keepers etc...Transmission is the standard TH350; it had been gone over before it was powder coated, it's in good shape and ready to goWiring should be fine in the car, it's been stored in a climate controlled garageTorque converter, flex plates, brake lines, and lots of other parts come with the car - buyer owns it all. Loose parts will be neatly packed in new plastic totes and ready for buyer pick-up. Large items such as tranny, driveshaft, and fuel tank will remain looseBetween tires & wheels, powder coating, new parts, and labor, the car has just under $8K in it - add that to the bodywork, and the car has almost $20K in it so far. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I'm starting the car at about 1/2 of what I feel it should bring, which also includes me taking a huge loss - please do not send me low-ball offers. The car is set at a NO RESERVE auction, once the starting bid is met it will sell. PAYMENT:I require a small deposit of $500.00 to be paid via Paypal within 24 hours of purchase, no exceptions unless discussed and approved first. Final payment is due within three (3) calendar days of purchase, no exceptions unless discussed and approved first. If final payment is not made within three calendar days, then the deposit becomes my property and I retain the rights to re-list the car or sell the car at will. Please make sure you can pay the amount you bid - this means checking with your wife, girlfriend, boyfriend, mom, dad, your brother-in-law's cousin who knows everything about everything - whomever - do it first. I'm not interested in sorry excuses from folks who ruin it for everyone else. By bidding, and/or making an offer, and/or purchasing the car you are agreeing to the terms above.
