Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1975 Honda CB550 F in Very Good Condition. This is an Original Unrestored One Owner Estate find bike with only 8350 miles. As you can see everything is correct and in almost perfect showroom condition. The chrome is excellent with very little pitting. The exhaust pipes have no repairs, no rust, no significant dents or road rash, and solid baffles. The Sunrise Orange paint is untouched and original with just a few scratches. The side cover emblems are not all beat up and the covers themselves are solid with no chips, cracks, or broken tabs. The seat is the original factory piece without a tear, scratch, or scuff and the Honda logo on the back is vivid and clear. The inside of the tank has no rust, varnish, or residue; has never been coated and looks as good as the day it was new. All the electricals ( lights, signals, horn, etc.) work perfectly without hesitation. One light push of the button and the bike fires right up and idles smoothly. Only first thing in the morning or after several days of sitting is the choke even required. The clutch is like new and it runs up and down through all the gears with ease. Since purchase what has mostly been done to this bike is just cleaning; the chrome, the frame, the rubber, etc. The carbs were taken off, cleaned, had new seals installed, and synced. The front brake master cylinder was rebuilt with a new kit, the lines flushed, the caliper cleaned, and new pads installed. A new set of grips were put on just because the originals were worn and scuffed and of course a new battery was required. Every other part on this bike is factory and in original as-found condition. The only significant defects are shown in two of the pictures; some light pitting around the exhaust drain holes and some sort of a drip stain on the one pipe and some belt buckle scratches on the tank. Not too bad for a 39 year old bike that hadn't seen the road for just over ten years. If you are looking for an Original, Unrestored, Excellent example of one of Hondas best ever bikes; this is it. Don't let this opportunity pass you by. Thanks for looking; now all the crappy stuff..... Shipping is Pick-up Only but of course we will help with scheduling of a carrier service, etc. A $500.00 deposit will be required within 24 hours of end of sale with balance due in 7 days. Payment method is up to the buyer ( although we would prefer not to use PayPal due to the transfer fees ) but transfers and checks must clear and be verified by our bank prior to release of the vehicle. If crating is required for shipping that can be accommodated but at an additional fee to be determined and at the buyers expense. Scheduling pick-up with a carrier will not cost extra. If an on-site visual inspection is desired by either a potential buyer or their agent; just email a request and one can be arranged. If there are any details we may have overlooked or questions you might have; please ask. The last bid determines the both the buyer and the agreed upon price with no renegotiation after the end of auction. Also know that this motorcycle is for sale locally as well and we do reserve the right to end the auction early ( within ebay policy limits ) in the event for a sale. Thanks again for your time and consideration.
