1955 Nash Metropolitan This is a partially restored 1955 Metropolitan 2 door I have had allot of mechanical parts repaired and/or replaced as well as exterior repainted floor boards patched Engine rebuilt head and lower including better valves guides and rocker arm assembly, ring gear ,engine mounts Rebuilt alternator NEW: clutch, pressure plates, clutch cylinder , brakes ,brake cylinders ,stainless brake lines , master cylinder, wheel bearings tires, , radiator and water pump , voltage regulator ,wiring harness , gas tank cleaned and relined The interior is unfinished needing panels carpeting and upholstery etc Does have original seat , Also needs rubber gaskets set for doors, windshield wiper and motor heater not hooked up etc I had body work and paint Original color was torquoise went with a proper yellow for that year Body work is so so definitely not show quality Lower doors and rockers were bad and repair was kind of marginal so body especially doors should be gone over to bring it up to show quality The pictures look somewhat better than the exterior of car is Looks nice 10 feet away! Suspension should be gone over especially stearing box as she wanders a bit Would be a good idea to replace shocks and chek all idlers well Engine runs nice only about 100 miles or so since rebuild not broke in yet Handling is not too great s mentioned above although ok for lower speed driving This would be a nice car to finish as allot of the expensive mechanicals are done or it would be a great parts car if you have a metro with an excellent body The mileage is inaccurate as speedometer has never been hooked up since rebuild and it wasn't running when I got it
