Vehicle Detail

Up for bid is a 1968 Buick Wildcat convertible that be was donated to the AACA Museum in 2011 and has been in the collection since. The car runs good and starts easily, according to paperwork in the car's file a valve job was done and the car had been tuned up. We have driven the car on museum property and it drives, shifts, and stops fine but because it is a museum car and is not driven on a regular basis it should be gone over prior to putting the vehicle on the road. The tires are in good shape and the car does not have any major fluid leaks. The AC works as does the heater and defrost. The interior is in good shape with a few seams that are splitting and one spot in the drivers seat back ( shown in the photos). The dash is nice without any cracks and the convertible top was replaced by the previous owner prior to the Museum getting the vehicle . The car also has the original Buick floor mats in the car with the Buick logo in white. The trunk is in good shape as you can see in the photos with one rust spot on the drivers side. The body is mostly solid because the car was rustproofed back in the day. The rocker panels on both sides have some issues and there is a spot in the passengers side door jamb that are also shown in the photos. The underneath and floors are solid, so are the doors and quarter panels. The paint on the sides has somewhat of a shine but the tops are sun faded and dull. The chrome is in fair condition but would need to be redone for anything other then a driver vehicle. The vehicle also has some spare parts that go with it that were left by the previous owner and are listed below: 1 set of new front brake shoes, 1 set of rear brake shoes, 1 new water pump, 1 new emergency brake cable, 1 new fuel pump. The car is being sold AS/IS and prior to being driven should be checked as it was in the museum collection since 2011 and not driven on a regular basis. Prior to leaving the museum the vehicle must be paid for in full and any checks must clear the financial institution that they were drawn from. Thank You!
