1968 Mustang Convertible. This is an excellent running and driving Mustang. The car is stored in a garage under a cover and only driven on nice weather days. It has a 289 V-8 with a C-4 transmission and an Edelbrock carburetor. The power top functions perfectly as does the converted R134 air conditioning. It has power steering and power brakes and automatic transmission. While this car is not a factory GT. There are some GT options, such as the GT wheel center caps, the GT flip gas cap and the C stripe. All of the emblems and metal lettering are intact and look great. I have the original owners warranty card along with a huge binder of receipt dating back to the very early seventies. I spoke to the original owner about 6 months ago, who informed me that he is unaware of any accident with the car. I do have the original black plates to the car as it was originally built and sold in California. Interior: The original steering wheel is in perfect shape with no cracks. The seats have absolutely no rips, tears, stains of any kind. The seatbelts all work as they should. The radio in the console is not hooked up as there is a stereo with a CD player mounted in the trunk. The console has not been cut. Exterior: There is a full size spare in the trunk. The dual (4 pipe) exhaust is original to the car. All the panels fit as they should and as far as I know are original to the car. The hood lights turn signals work perfectly. When I purchased the car, a new top was installed and it is still like new with a clear back window. The hood lights turn signals work perfectly. The rear-end was rebuilt about 10 years and as a result there is no sagging rear- end which is all too common for the beloved Mustang. It has a brand new battery (May 2014). This car is very well cared for. The oil gets changed twice a year. The rubber weather stripping and chrome could use some replacing, but because the car is driven only on nice days, I never bothered to replace it. There are some dings and slight bubbles behind the wheels on the quarters. Nothing serious and nothing rusted through. I never bothered with it as it so minor and doesn’t affect the overall appearance of the car. The oil pressure gauge isn’t working. All other gauges are working as they should. This car is being sold as is without any warranties. Please feel free to come inspect the car before the auction ends to make sure it is what you are looking for.
