I am relisting this car because I encountered medical problems during 1st listing & couldn't respond to buyers. This is a 1954 Sunbeam Alpine Convertible upon which a frame-on restoration was performed. Starting with a low mileage, rust free western car( no heater) with a good leather interior, the chassis and running gear were rebuilt or replaced as needed. The only body problem was cracked firewall hinge mounts which were reinforced. When I bought it, the car was bright red, so a beautiful new paint of correct color was professionally done, using modern, base coat-clear coat paint. The car is low mileage, 40 + thous and believed to be correct by several professionals, including the painter of 35 yrs exp. The orig engine, had no internal noise, so it was inspected and serviced w oil, oil filter, rebuilt carb, new plugs, wires, dist cap, and exhaust and muffler. A bad orig trans was replaced w a Ford T-5 that was installed along w a rebuilt Sunb press plate, new Pinto 9" disc, new Sunb throwout-New driveshaft and u-joints- low mileage used carrier & gear were installed-New brake shoes, new seals and repacked bearings, rebuilt wheel cyls; new kingpins-New 16" radials-older leather interior is good; the gas tank was acid cleaned & then redcoated. An elec fuel pump was added, I have rebuild kit for stock pump; The frame was scraped, cleaned & coated-evthng works except temp gauge-car drives beautifully @ 70 mph w ovdr & radials, stops much better than bias. Top is white, good & chrome windows r n good condition; it has a complete tool set w leather case for kick storage; It has a jack and lug w duffle. I have all of the orig shift linkage I removed & I also have a new windscreen & a refurbed heater, no blower. I will include if car sells 4 reserve price. If interested, please come inspect car on hoist-much nicer w pers inspection-took many pics during process to show the pristine condition & no rust-only nicer orig I've seen is a local 13,000 mi car, please come c it. Since I am selling this car, I will be listing numerous spare parts no longer needed. Again, it will be a relisting because i could not respond when they were 1st listed.
