Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Awesome! 1978 Datsun 280z. It is a 2.8 straight six cylinder fuel injected motor with 170 horsepower and a 5 speed manual transmission. The car is mechanically sound, runs great and is fun to drive. Dupont Choma Premier San Marino Red R94. Car is solid & drives great. It's not super perfect some wear on the paint. Small stone chips & little dents here & there. Still It's a fine looking driver! Not a trailer queen. This car turns heads trust me! Between my brother and myself we have had 4 Datsun Z's between over the last 3 decades. These cars are getting harder to find and continue to go up in value. Genuine Nissan replacement front cowl with NO Foam pad underneath .2K epoxy primer. DuPont Chroma Premier Base coat clear coat R94 San Mariano Red paint. Touch up paint available via paint code. BAD DOG weld over frame rails and front sway bar plates. MSA Rear spoiler and flexible lower front air dam. New door seals. New windshield and rear hatch glass seals. Sylvania Silver Star headlights Steering & Suspension: Replaced inner and outer steering rack bearings with genuine Nissan bearings. After market steering coupler bushing. Replaced upper strut bearings. Replaced front wheel bearings, Ball joints, tie rod ends. Techno Toy Tuning Tension control rods.Tokico Illumia adjustable struts and springs. New spindle pins and many new genuine Nissan bushings. Also some aftermarket poly bushings. Brakes: Replaced Brake master and booster. New rear drums, wheel cylinders, and hardware kit and Bendix shoes. Drums have never been cut. After marker slotted and drilled rotors with 1982 Toyota pick up 4 piston calipers. Low dust Bendix pads. Engine: 1983 Naturally aspired 280ZX long block. F54 block / P79 head. EGR Valve by passed due to age. Flame thrower coil, K&N Air filter. Genuine rebuilt Nissan starter motor. Beck Arnly rebuilt distributor and alternator. Koyo Aluminum radiator. New genuine Nissan belts, Water pump and thermostat. Exhaust: MSA 2.5” with down pipe. Azana exhaust tip Engine electric: New Main EFI relay!, under dash. Replacement fuel injectors. New electrical sub harness. New quick release Fuel injector connectors. Replaced fuel pump with genuine Nissan unit. Genuine Nissan fuel damper and wells fuel pressure regulator. Battery is only couple years old. Interior: Dash board cover, new head liner, new genuine Nissan center console. Re built turn signal switch. New TRW stalk switch. Replacement ignition switch. Replacement heater core & evaporator core. Genuine Nissan heater hoses. New shifter bushings, leather boot and new old stock made in W. Germany shifter knob. After market Grant wood steering wheel with quick removable hub. Air conditioning works and has been converted to R34. Replaced ignition switch. The drivers seat cover base is worn out. Power train: Rebuilt 82ZX 5 Speed. Excedy 2+2 240MM clutch & Flywheel. New throughout bearing. Correct alternate throughout bearing sleeve was used. New clutch mater and slave and hose. Running Red Line GL4! Need the GL4 for the brass. New rear wheel bearings Wheels tires: 15” Koeing Rewinds. New, bought last fall Good Year Eagle GT tires with alignment. The center caps are getting old. They are available. Known Issues: Door locks do not work. It’s slop in the linkage not to hard to fix. Rear defogger does not work. Engine runs a little rich which is normal. Will out put some blue oil smoke on long de-acceleration runs. The relay that switches in the charging circuit after start up can be lazy. Drivers seat due for new new lower seat cover.Other: Lots of TLC over the last 10 years! TITLE: Important! Car is legally registered in the state of Connecticut. When I registered the car department of motor vehicle made me a photo copy of the tittle. Connecticut does not generate new titles for cars over 25 years old. All you need is a bill of sale. If you need other paper work for your state I will sign it there is nothing illegal about the car. Please research your states requirements
