Vehicle Detail
Hello eBayers! This is a heck of a truck. I have only owned it a couple months and barely driven it in that time. I'm selling it for two reasons: 1) It doesn't fit in my garage. This was a big (no pun intended) let down when I got it home. Apparently my garage door is short to begin with, but this monster of an F150 might have trouble squeezing in any Michigan garage, I'm not sure. I thought I could live with it, but after two months of having it in the driveway I've come to realize it's not going to work. 2) It doesn't fit my style. Honestly, I bought it sight unseen from the old interwebs and despite the fact that it is impressive and people are constantly yelling "Nice truck!" out their windows at me, it just doesn't fit with my subtle sense of style. There is nothing subtle about this truck. James Bond would never drive this truck. John Rambo probably would. Consequently I haven't driven this thing more than 100 miles or so, so I can't speak to anything mechanical about it. Here's what I know: The bad stuff: It has a check engine light on, which they tell me is something with the manifold, it's not critical and doesn't effect performance. There are some serious scratches on the paint, but it's white, so they blend. Their are a couple small tears in the back seat. There are a couple dings here and there. The rear bumper probably got backed into something and it doesn't quite sit level now. Nothing crazy bad, just look at the pictures. Rolling down the road this thing looks great though. It rides like it's lifted 8+ inches and has 37" off road tires, which is to say, rough. Two of the tires do need to be replaced before too long. Other than that it seems to be in great shape. That being said, it's sold as is and you should check it out or have it checked out because there will be no returning it. :) The good stuff: Really, too much to list. I had a mechanic once it over and just replaced some of the worn suspension parts so the suspension is in great shape. The mechanic told me the guy who did it had it done right and probably put $10,000.00+ dollars into suspension alone. It's got K/N air intake and probably some other aftermarket junk under the hood too. It sounds MEAN. It's all freshly detailed and even the engine compartment looks practically like new. There's no cam sensor/phaser noise like some of these are known to do. Now that it's at 100k miles you know this one won't get it. It has 4 brand new Alpine speakers and a brand new Sony radio with cd player etc. It's got a grill guard and those flood lights. Sounds great! It's got a bed liner, not a spray in but the one from the factory. She's a southern truck, so she's not rusty. (See photos.) This is going to make an AWESOME vehicle for the right guy or gal. The bottom line: This is a 2004 F150 FX4 with 100,000 miles which probably goes for $15,000 - $17,000 at a dealership that's got another $10,000.00 of aftermarket work done to it. I've got it here on eBay because I'm a busy guy, travel a lot for work and don't have time/energy to go through a prolonged selling process via Auto Trader or Craigslist. I hope it brings what I've put into it, but I'm rolling the dice a bit too!! If you have questions, let me know.
