Vehicle Detail
1991 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX Turbo AWD Project car. Starts and moves but CAN NOT be driven. It must be towed on flat bed or trailer. I bought this car five years ago with the intent of giving it to my son when he turned 16. I drove it for about six months before I parked it in my garage and started working on it. Due to circumstances beyond my control (or maybe I just got lazy) I never finished it and bought him another car instead. When I went to move it from my garage to my mothers, the brake pedal went to the floor. The cause turned out to be a rusted brake line in the drivers side rear wheel well. Since It's no longer in a garage that I can work in and leave a mess, that's where I left off. In addition to the brake line repair, It also has a few other needs to get back on the road. The exhaust manifold is cracked but I have a good used one to go with the car. The pads and rotors are iffy and there are brand new pads and powder coated drilled rotors included (front and rear sets). I also have a set of Agency Power braided brake lines for the front. The tires are completely dry rotted junkyard specials and will probably only hold air long enough to get the car loaded. I had already replaced both front A-arms, tie rod ends and most of the front suspension bushings but didn't get a chance to align everything. There's a TON of spare parts to go with if you'd like them. Not much mechanical stuff but a nice, complete red cloth interior and other stuff like tan leather seats that need recovering. As far as overall condition, it's no beauty queen but it's not a rust bucket either. Plenty of dings and one major dent in the drivers' side rear quarter-see picture. One of the fenders appears to have been replaced at some point and I replaced the hood. The interior is worn but not worn out. The car drove well and everything worked when it was on the road except the AC didn't blow cold. There was some turbo smoke when you floor it and that of course hasn't improved while it sat for 5 years. The radio is a Sony CD player that has an iPod hook up (it's not installed but it goes with). Bottom line is, this car needs love and attention. And tires. Fix it and drive it, fix it and flip it-the choice is yours. Price is not negotiable at all unless you'd like to give more than I'm asking. I can not stress that point enough. I am not a used car lot. I'm a guy with a car for $1200. You are free to decide if my price is right for you. Just don't bother telling me if it's not. It's what I need to give the car up. No payment plan is available either. Thanks for not asking. Payment in person will be in cash only. Deposit through PayPal will hold the car for 3 days. Payment in full due within 72 hours of auction ending. Make sure you understand and agree with these terms before proceeding. Auction will end the moment I have cash in hand. Please, please ask any and all questions not related to $$$$. I'm sure there are plenty of details I'm forgetting. I've tried to remember everything negative about the car so you know what you're getting into but I can't gurantee there's nothing I've forgotten. This car is as-is, where-is. No warranty expressed or implied. I can show the car any evening or weekend and I encourage anyone interested to come and see it for yourself. It's garaged in Strausstown, PA about 3 minutes from the I-78 exit and easy to get to. Thanks for looking. Consider this fair warning to anyone expecting the car to be relisted at a lower price. It won't. I already have arrangements with a friend to haul it away for scrap. This is the first, last and only opportunity to purchase this car. Once the auction is over, no questions or offers will be responded to.
