Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is this 1983 Honda VF750F Interceptor. This bike is very good condition with brand new PA inspection. Bike starts right up and runs as it should. Everything works. There is no known mechanical issues. The only reason I am selling this bike is due to lack of time to ride. I have only put 400 miles on this bike the last 2 years. The bike has been well maintained and adult owned and driven. Please call or email with any questions or if you would like to set a time to come see it and test drive. #716-969-1990 or andersonjkaca@hotmail.com Seller would consider shipping up to 400 miles at $1.50 per mile round trip. Buyer must contact Seller before auction close to make arrangements for shipping. The Honda VF750F Interceptor was the offspring of a metaphorical marriage between the revolutionary 996cc V4 FWS1000 U.S. Formula 1 Championship Superbike racer Honda introduced in 1982 and a change in AMA Superbike rules. For the 1983 season, 4-cylinder bikes were limited to 750cc and were required to be production based. Honda management decided to build a new street bike around the Sabre engine, but with the right stuff to form the basis of a Superbike contender. The 1983 Honda VF750F Interceptor was the result. 12.00 Honda VF750F Interceptor Claimed power: 86hp @ 10,000rpm Top speed: 132mph (period test) Engine: 748cc liquid-cooled 16-valve DOHC 90-degree V4, 70mm x 48.6mm bore and stroke, 10.5:1 compression ratio Weight (wet): 551lb (250.5kg) Fuel capacity/MPG: 5.8gal (22ltr)/37.3mpg (period test) The Honda VF750F was a street bike designed by Honda from 1983-1985. It had an 86 HP, liquid cooled, V4 engine which sported Dual Overhead Cams (DOHC). The V4's were started a year before with the 1982 Honda Magna VF750C and Sabre VF750S but were adapted for the VF750F in 1983 by reducing the six speed transmission to a five speed because of the change from shaft drive to chain. This reduced the available space in the transmission thus changing to a five speed. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
