1968 Shelby GT500KR Fastback #03512 Candy Apple Red, 428CJ, C6 Automatic, 3.50:1 Traction Lok Axle, 60,400 miles. I purchased the car in 2012 from the previous owner who had owned it for 21 years. It was inspected and authenticated by a leading Shelby expert and SAAC concourse judge. This is an original body panel/fiberglass car that was rotisserie restored in the late 90’s using a single stage Glasurit enamel paint that still looks perfect. There have only been 3,000 miles put on this car since that restoration. Since I have owned the car I have had the Interior, Motor, Rear End and many additional components rebuilt/restored by a leading Shelby expert. When I acquired the car it was incredibly well sorted out and had all of the hard to find original KR parts present. The CJ motor that was in the car was a late 67 block and I was able to source a May 68 CJ block and April heads (car is a June 8 build) so I decided to have a more correctly dated motor built for the car. There have been less than 300 miles put on this motor since it’s rebuild. This car runs and drives beautifully.
