Vehicle Detail

Thank you for viewing my ad, up for auction is a very clean 1989 Chrysler Conquest TSi. I purchased this car locally from my nephew. He purchased it two years ago based on it's looks, unfortunately he is not at all mechanically inclined and bought it running hot and smoking excessively. It was diagnosed at al local shop as a failed headgasket. He parked the car and it sat for the next 18 months in his parents driveway. I purchased it not running from him in January 2014. I disassembled the top half of the engine to address the headgasket and found that the cylinder head was actually cracked in between the valves on cylinders #2 & #3. The exhaust manifold was warped and leaking . I purchased a good used cylinder head, completely broke it down, cleaned the valves, replaced the valve stem seals and had the exhaust manifold planed to correct the warpage. It has new coolant, synthetic oil and new filter and a new Interstate battery. It runs very strong and smooth making 10 psi of boost. The automatic transmission shifts crisp and smooth. There are issues that I have decided not to address for resale. The body is a solid ten footer, looks great from ten feet but the paint does have flaws (minor ones) my pictures tell that story. The brake pedal is soft (not to the floor at all) from sitting for a long time. The brake rotors were rusty from sitting and the brakes improve every time I drive it. I had an excessive crank situation once on a hot restart but it does not interfere with me driving it. It has very cool aftermarket ARE wheel that are staggered width just like the factory ones. The speedo reads low and will not register a speed until about 30 mph then is inaccurate by at least 20 mph. I find as I drive it more that has gotten better too. It turns a lot of heads and I get thumbs up from passing motorists every time I drive it. Automatics are pretty rare in this model and it drives smooth
