The stamp on top of the front of the engine is 440 HP and the cast date on the block is either 1*23*68 or 1*28*68 as it is hard to tell the 3 from the 8 which would mean a Jan 68 casting date on the block 4 speed transmission ( New Process) Dana 60 rear end with Sure Grip This is a straight car , good body and underbody, nice interior Package shelf under rear window base is NOT rusty as you will see this rust in a lot of Mopars, not this R/T though ( see last pics) Equipped with power steering Also has the Tic Toc Tach that works along with the clock that keeps fairly accurate time Believed to be a factory Red car , fender tag is gone so hard to tell original options but is a nice R/T and verified by the VIN A cool driver , not perfect , sure to please someone looking for a real musclecar from the late 60's at an affordable price , and this is a car that you can drive Questions? 1968 Dodge R/T 2 door Hardtop
440 4 barrel ( recently rebuilt ) we do not know
if it would be considered a numbers matching engine as I have been made aware that the 68 Mopars did not have the VIN on the block , and that stamping the blocks didn't start until 1969 , so maybe I can only call it period correct ?
The stamp on top of the front of the engine is 440 HP and the cast date on the block is either 1*23*68 or 1*28*68 as it is hard to tell the 3 from the 8 which would mean a Jan 68 casting date on the block

This is a straight car , good body and
underbody, nice interior
Package shelf under rear window base is NOT rusty as you will see this rust in a lot of Mopars, not this R/T though ( see last pics)
Equipped with power steering
Also has the Tic Toc Tach that works along with the clock that keeps fairly accurate time
Believed to be a factory Red car , fender tag is gone so hard to tell
original options but is a nice R/T and verified by the VIN
A cool driver , not perfect , sure to please someone looking for a real musclecar from the late 60's at an affordable price , and this is a car that you can drive
