Up for bid is my 1970 Volkswagen Squareback Wagon. This is a complete car. Everything is there and where it was in 1970. I bought this car a couple years ago from the ORIGINAL OWNER! I have the original Bill Of Sale from the local VW dealer from 1970! It starts right up and seems to run OK. Not a puff of smoke from the 92000 original mile VW air cooled flat four. No oil leaks either. The trans and the clutch seem to work excellent. I have a clear PA title in my name. All doors, windows, hood and hatch open and close like this car was never even in a fender bender. The interior is in great shape considering this is a 44 year old car. Front passenger seat and back seat vinyl are very nice. Driver's seat shows some wear but is still comfortable. The paint might even be (unfortunately) original. The glass is all awesome. The rear windows even pop out to vent as they were designed to do. As you can see by the pics there is surface rusting all over. The original owner 'glassed the rusted floor area and (wait for this) and used roofing tar on other areas to seal out the elements over the years :) The floor is NOT totally gone but there are areas that have been patched and there are other areas that really need attention before this thing hits the road again. Obviously this is a project car. But it is a very rare, unusual, unique vehicle. Imagine doing the cruise night, parade, or tie circuit in this little gem. A bunch of sweat equity and some imagination and you will be there.Vehicle is sold as is/where is. No warranty expressed or implied. Please do not bid if you have any questions...ask the questions first then decide if this is the project for you. I passionately protect my 100% perfect eBay rating and I ask you to respect the effort I put into maintaining that. The car is located near Reading PA about 65 miles from Philly...no you cannot drive it home. It will need to be towed, transported, whatever. I cannot help with the transport. Once I receive payment in full you will get a signed clear PA title, a Bill of Sale and the keys. My responsibilities will be to back the car out of the garage and hand the keys to you or your carrier. I will accommodate your needs as much as I can and assist the carrier but ultimately it is your responsibility. The reserve is set so low that if you parted her out (and please don't do that) you would double your money!
