Living near Fort Knox, I purchased this convertible from a soldier who had been stationed in Germany, where it was purchased. It has been garage kept since I bought it 7-8 years ago and was garage kept by previous owner. The convertible top had too much wear, so I replaced it with same color fabric as original. I also have the original hardtop. I have not had trouble with starting or running. Engine is good condition, uses no oil. I did replace the original distributor cap. Also, the muffler system was replaced, and the workmen were careful to craft the system to match the original for the car. The only major mechanical issue was that the clutch went out a few years ago, and I had that work done by a Mercedes dealership. Made for the European market with appropriate markings. Still has the original German First Aid kit. This is a really special car. I have used it to ride in parades since I bought it, and it always gets comments. It once won an award for best imported car at a local parade/car show, but to be fair, it may have been the only one in the class! The VIN # is WBD10704210012368.
