Thanks for looking! ************************************************************* Rare Turbo by American Custom Industries Only 19,000 miles This very unique Corvette was modified by American Custom Industries (ACI) when new. ACI is the company that partnered with the late Zora Arkus Duntov (famous Corvette engineer) to create the Duntov Turbo convertible in 1980. Modifications on this car include a Martin Turbo, custom paint, Alpine stereo, chrome wire wheels and Goodyear Wingfoot tires which are still on the car today. Factory equipment consists of automatic transmission, air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, tilt/telescopic steering wheel, cruise control, leather interior, L48 350 cubic inch engine, power windows and power door locks. It's in pristine condition and runs excellent. Everything works including the air conditioning. On a side note, the paint scheme and graphics on this Corvette are patterned after the factory Turbo concept car which appeared on the show circuit in 1979 and was also on the cover of Road & Track magazine. ACI was hired by Chevrolet in partnership with the National Corvette Council to produce a recreation of the concept car which was then raffled for charity. It appears ACI liked the graphics enough to continue the design on additional cars such as the one offered here.
