Very original 1987 Honda Civic Si. I purchased this as a daily commuter and drove it for two years. Then bought a second Si that I started driving. I had intentions of restoring the car because it is so original. Appears to have been rust proofed early in its life. Has the original motor that does occasionally smoke (uses approx. 1 qt per 1K miles and non-functionaing factory AC equipped. All original interior but dash has separated from the underlying foam. Car is an absolute blast to drive and with the Lightweight wheels and smaller tires can get 40mpg. Has had the timing belt changed, new clutch, new rear shocks and brakes. I'm now 5 mins from work and have four other vehicles to license and insure. This car is current on inspection and tags. Certainly hope a fan of Si's that has time for restoration acquires this car. Car can be driven anywhere. Car is for sale locally also.On Jun-02-14 at 05:33:26 PDT, seller added the following information: ****I've been ask about the condition of the paint. As with most photos the condition of the paint may appear better in the photos than in person. The paint is faded, particularly on the drivers side. In the photo you can see some of the clear coat peeling on the passenger side. I've never attemtped to buff the paint and it could be made to appear brighter but it is not unsightly. On the top of the car, the paint has faded down to the primer in some areas. Having started the auction at No Reserve and mentioning my intent to Restore the car, I apologize for not being more descriptive.
