After meeting a Japanese vehicle exporter through a mutual friend, I became an importer of rare and unique 4x4's. I specialize in Toyota Land Cruisers and other Toyota 4x4's. I imported this well-maintained HJ61 in January. Outside of the US, the diesel Land Cruisers are legendary vehicles, well-known for offroad capability and unmatched reliability and durability. Now that these vehicles are past the 25-year-old limit, we can enjoy them here in the states. It is 100% legal to own and drive in all 50 states. eBay requires a 17-digit VIN in the listing, the actual VIN for this HJ61 is HJ61003519. It was produced for the Japanese Domestic Market and does not have a 17-digit VIN. The original VIN plate reading HJ61003519 is still fixed in the factory location on the engine firewall. This VIN is also stamped into the frame rail. The Missouri title and customs documentation all match this VIN. This vehicle can be legally registered and driven in all 50 US States. Click here to view all 152 photos Well-Maintained, Original Condition This HJ61 is a clean, well-maintained vehicle. The photos show the condition and tell the story. The body has a few paint chips, scratches and dings as might be expected from a 28-year old vehicle. Also, the paint is faded on the hood and roof. Please view the complete set of photos to see the condition of the body. There is a small rust spot on the driver side rear door and wheel opening. This can be seen in detail in the full set of photos. The rest of the vehicle appears to be free of any body rust. A few small dents are also visible in the photos. The interior is in excellent condition. There is a small crack in the dash, and some wear on the driver's seat. All the gauges and interior lights work. The heat and A/C both work properly. The A/C was inspected by a professional shop and recharged with original R12. The adjustable suspension seats allow for a very comfortable ride even on rough surfaces. The vintage radio does not work. The overhead console temperature gauges work. The front windshield has one small rock chip, and the sunroof glass has a rock chip as well. The 12H-T features a 3980cc inline 6-cylinder engine with direct-injection fitted with a turbo and has a compression ratio of 18.6:1.
