1981 Honda CX 500 Custom water cooled shaft drive in very good condition. Only 22,157 miles, no damage some wear and tear. Recent oil and radiator fluid changed, new thermostat and battery, tires with less than 2000 miles on them. Bike starts easily and runs well. It shifts easily and stays in gear, brakes work well. With the shaft drive and water cooling the bike is heavier that other 500s but it accelerates well and is comfortable in the city and on the highway. I used this bike as a daily commuter for a while without any problems. I have a Vetter fairing on now, the fairing is useable but older has had some cracks and scratches, the windshield has no cracks there is some fogging. There is no radio. I am getting 45 miles per gallon of gas, the tank is small and would have to use the reserve tank at 100miles. The side panels are not cracked they are missing several of the rubber grommets, This is a good bike, I just don't need it.
