Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a recently restored 1954 GMC Series 250 Flat Bed One Ton Truck. It has new paint in a John Deere Theme. The truck was taken down to the frame with POR15 applied, all body work is complete and there is NO rust on the vehicle. Rear shocks were added to the truck as it did not have them out of the factory. Virtually everything on the truck has been repaired, replaced, rebuild or refurbished. The engine is a 248 six cylinder, was rebuilt and has approximately 75 miles on it. The transmission is the original 4 speed, was not rebuilt, but operates perfectly. It has two new front tires and the rear tires (all 4) have good tread on them. The wheels are the two piece split rims. They were all sand blasted and painted and are in good condition for their age. All of the chrome badging is in good condition with some pitting. The interior has a bench seat (new vinyl upholstery), two new seat belts, new rubber flooring mat, new headliner, new door cards, new door and window handles, updated gauges (all working), new driver’s visor, good working heater core and blower. The only item that is not working properly is the vacuum wiper motor. I would suggest an electric conversion motor from LMT Trucks for around $150.00. All of the glass is in good condition with no visible cracks. All weather stripping is new. The following are the new parts on the engine. Air cleaner housing, Cam Shaft, Coil, Condenser, Points, Distributor cap ,Rotor, Freeze Plugs, Fan Belt, Fuel Pump, Hoses, Piston Rings, Plug wires, Rod Bearings, Lifters, Spark Plugs, Main Bearings, Water Pump, Thermostat and the radiator was cleaned and repaired. The carburetor was rebuilt. The truck has all new wiring and was converted to a 12 volt system. It has a Generator that was rebuilt and new Voltage Regulator. All of the lights and fixtures are new and in working order. It also has turn signals. The gas tank was cleaned and painted and it has a new sending unit. Other new parts include, a complete clutch assembly, and throw out bearing. New rear brake shoes, and rebuild or new wheel bearings, as well as a reworked master brake cylinder. All new pedal pads, horn, horn relay, outside door handles and mirrors. New hood springs and new wiper arms and blades. The wood on the bed was repaired and painted. The truck has a new muffler and tail pipes. The truck does not have a radio or spare tire, although one of the dual wheels could be used as a spare in an emergency. It would make a great truck for a John Deere lover, is fun to drive and to take to shows. Could also be used for marketing purposes at a John Deere Dealership. I have listed everything that has been done to the truck to the best of my ability and I am sure you will enjoy it! It has a clean Virginia title. Thank you for bidding and please email with questions. I have all of the receipts for parts, a repair manual, an assembly manual and owner’s manual. The truck is located approximately 25 miles north of Roanoke, Virginia.
