Vehicle Detail

1960 AUSTIN HEALEY 3000 MK1 BN-7 TWO-SEATER ROADSTER. WIRE WHEELS, OVERDRIVE, HEATER, ADJUSTABLE STEERING WHEEL, RARE FACTORY HARDTOP AND SOFTTOP. KURT TANNER RESTORATIONS offers for sale here on Ebay an attractive Triple Black, two-owner, 3000 MK 1 BN-7 Two-Seater Sports Roadster. This car was recently purchased from it's longtime owner of over 45 years. The speedometer reads a correct and believed original 77,000 miles. It is fitted with a very nicely and correctly restored, rare two-seater factory hardtop ( a $6000-plus value alone ), as well as it's newer softtop. It also boasts a beautiful set of Dayton chrome/stainless wire wheels wrapped with desirable 175x15 Michelin ZX radial tires, which are no longer available. It is fitted with an attractive and period-correct Les Leston alloy/wood steering wheel. All components appear to be original and matching to the car. It is a rare factory black car from new. This car has been restored in the past and well-maintained as necessary by an active Austin Healey club member. The car still looks very nice, but the older paintwork is now showing its age with blemishes, chips, and a few dings. A respray would be in order if one desired a perfect car, but the bodywork and paint is suitable for a driver. The chromework appears good overall. The seats and armrest are trimmed in black leather with white piping and are in good condition. The car has a newer black carpet kit and trunk kit installed. Additional options include a period Motorola radio, Lucas foglamps with badge bar, three attractive badges, sidecurtain set with bag, workshop manual, tonneau cover, auxilary Lucas ammeter, Monza style polished fuel filler, and seat belts. This car, because of its options and overall appearance, has an attractive period competition look...The car has a clean and original engine compartment, where the components were nicely detailed at some point. All of the fluids are clean and up to the mark. The car starts easily from cold, runs smooth and evenly, with very good oil pressure. The overdrive unit functions properly. There is a useful dashboard light installed to indicate when the OD unit is engaged. The transmission shifts OK through all of the gears. The syncros have some normal wear for a car of this age and mileage. A newer stainless exhaust system is fitted. The cars runs, starts, stops, steers and functions very well. It is a nice attractive driver with no immediate needs, ready to enjoy right away. Overall, this car is a rare combination of a desirable model (only 2825 produced), colors, options, known two-owner history, and low mileage. It presents a good opportunity to secure a highly attractive and rare 3000 Two-Seater in a nice, "approachable" condition, ready for immediate use and enjoyment. This car is located in Southern California and is available for viewing by appointment. It is sold with a clear title. $49,500. KURT TANNER RESTORATIONS. 909-920-9221, work, 909-241-1051, cell.
