Smoke-free vehicle. Purchased on eBay in 2010 Replaced battery, all belts including the timing belt, brakes, transmission fluid as soon as I got it at about 105,000 miles. Recently, changed tires to taller and wider off-road tires for snow and mud. These tires are 90+% new. If you find them too noisy as they do have a lot of grip, you may want to swap them for factory sized tires. Recently, I got the exhaust and the oxygen sensor replaced. No warning lights on the dash. I am including a 2-inch hitch which can be seen on the photos. This is a very solid, reliable truck. All you need to do is change the oil/air filter and verify the basics. A friend of mine has a '98 4Runner with over 400,000 miles and has never even replaced the spark plugs (they are made of iridium). I change the oil and get all the basics inspected regularly. That's it for maintenance! Issues: Some paint chips in the front. The radio antenna needs replacing. The antenna does work but it won't come up or go down. You need to do it manually. That's it, nothing else to report.
