1978 Honda Z50 Minitrail. The bike is in good cosmetic and mechanical condition. It starts, runs, idles and shifts well. Fenders and handlebars are in good shiny condition, and the tires are in great shape and hold air. This Z50 has had many new parts installed; a new stator assembly, condenser, points, entire new main wire harness and throttle cable. Gas tank is in good shape, with only a couple small dings where the handlebar tightening\loosening knobs tap into the front of the tank when the handlebars are at a full turn. Also a small rusty patch roughly the size of a dime on the topside of the tank, the inside however looks to be in great and clean condition. The seat is nice and cushy and the cover is soft and flexible, with one small tear or cut, approximately 1\2" long, near the right rear of the seat. Headlight on\off switch is broken off flush with the housing, but can still be operated back and forth with a flat-head screwdriver. Headlight and tail light appear not to be working, but with the new wiring harness, my guess is that the bulbs may just need replacing. Bike does appear to be burning a small amount of oil, judging by a small amount of smoke in the exhaust, however it is not noticeable by monitoring the oil level in the engine. Smoke is worst at start-up and improves as engine warms up. Fun bike to ride as is, or would be a great restoration. Please feel free to ask questions if you have any concerns.
