Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a CLEAN TITLE 1995 E36 BMW M3, with NO RESERVE. You read correctly, the mileage is currently 76,529. I am the 2nd owner, I am an older adult and the car is in amazing shape. The interior is beautiful, has no tears, is not faded or cracked ; however, the headliner is sagging. The paint is in great shape. There are 2 small dings on the passenger door, some rock chips and some scuff on the side skirts. This M3 comes with every option imaginable. It has the multi button computer, cold weather package, the extremely rare tilt wheel, front license plate delete, shorty rear wheel flaps, ect.. The car’s engine and tranny are completely stock and un touched. The BMW has been meticulously maintained and I can provide a huge stack of receipts. It recently had the brakes and rotors replaced, brake fluid flushed, radiator flushed, rear end flushed and all four tires replaced with Bridgestone Potenza’s. The M3 has never been lowered and the only modifications done have been to the suspension and stereo. The mods include the lightweight x brace, turner motorsports adjustable rear sway bar, and a new set of Koni 3 way adjustable struts. The stock stereo has been replaced with a very expensive alpine set up, that includes boston acoustic 5.0 LF components and a custom made and hidden Kicker Free air Sub’s in the trunk. The subs are designed to use the trunk as a speaker box, provide maximum trunk space and the whole set up delivers an amazing balanced sound. The suspension set up has less than 500 miles on it and makes the car extremely fun to drive. The wheels that were on the car when I purchased it has a matching spare. Every car guy knows that every once in a while you get a car that has something special about it. Call it good vibes or whatever, but this car has it. It’s the car that never leaves you stranded, never gets keyed, never get tickets, even when you get caught taking corners like an idiot and it gets attention and compliments wherever you go. I stumbled across the gem about 12 years ago and purchased it from the original owner. The owner was a very wealthy 65 year old lady, (have proof), who loved the car dearly and took great care in keeping it perfect. She kept every receipt and even gave me the original window sticker. She told me that this M3 was shipped across the nation and showed at multiple dealerships and trade shows to expose the new M3 coming out and that’s why it has so many options. About 1.5 years ago the alternator went out and I had it replaced with a cheap autozone alternator. Soon after I started the car drove it for about 10 minutes and then the trans wouldn’t down shift. I would disconnect the battery, it would drive perfectly for a few miles then go into 5th gear and stay. No lights on the cluster would come on. I thought it couldn’t be the automatic trans itself because of the low mileage and because I had the lifetime ESSO fluid and filter replaced at 45,000 miles. Also, no engine and trans lights come on. Over the last year and a half, I had the car at a friends house who knows cars and he couldn't figure it out. At the time, I didn't have time to mess with it and my wife and I just had a baby, so, I bought a Honda Element. I have intended to sell the car, but, it has taken me this long to get the courage to do it. Recently, I read about the asc unit possibly being the issue. I pulled the ASC fuses and now it seems to run perfectly. This may not be a solution to the issue. I have been told it could be: 1. The crappy autozone alternator 2. The sensor on the rear end 3. The instrument cluster 4. The four sensors on the wheels 5. The maf 6. The super dead battery 7. The trans output sensor The car also needs a passenger rear wheel bearing replaced or lubed at some point, one fog light, battery and a new headliner. The car did not come with a front spoiler. I have one but do not have any idea how to put it on. The instrument cluster fuel gauge will dance around or play dead sometimes. I purchased a used 95 M3 cluster that has about 100k miles on it and I will provide that with the car. Do not attempt to install without a professional present. I have been told that if you install the cluster and do not calibrate the mileage, the computer will send an error message to the cluster and there will be an orange dot in the mileage area and the miles will be flagged as B.S. The car needs to be jumped to start it, as the battery is beyond dead. The registration is current but they would not give me stickers as the car has no insurance and I never smogged it. The car never had any issue passing; however, I would recommend getting rid of the nearly two year old gas and oil. This is a rare opportunity to own a very low mileage stock M3 for a bargain. It would be a crime, but, you can make a killing parting this car out. I have described my M3 to the best of my ability. Feel free to come by and test drive this car. If you can’t make it down, feel free to have your mechanic come to take a look. Please be patient with your questions. I run a company and it takes a lot of my time. Please talk to your wife, parents, life partner or whomever as all sales are final. Please do not waste my time, as I have little of it. By placing a bid, you are entering a binding contract. Remember, E bay's Buyer Protection that lets members return an item for no good reason does not apply to cars. Once you place a bid, that is a binding contract, enforceable by law. A non-refundable $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of the auctions end. If you are under 18 you must have a parent present. The M3 is being sold as is where is with no warranties expressed written or implied. Delivery is up to the auctions winner. Happy Bidding. Good luck.
