Only rust it ever had was a little on lower tailgate and rear bumper where water would flow out of bed-tailgate and hinges brand new from Kaiser Willys along with correct tailgate chains. New bumper as shown in pics from Kaiser Willys will install before jeep picked up. Other than that never had any rust anywhere which is unheard of and what makes it so rare-no patch panels - no rust anywhere!! Don’t know why green paint was chosen-either love it or hate it-lol. Paint it military if you like-easy and cheap to do. You won’t find another in this condition-mechanically perfect! steers straight on highway, no wander, don’t have to keep turning wheel back and forth as most-drives unbelievable-trans shifts tight as brand new no grinding whatsoever on up or downshifts. All new from brakes to you name it. new windshield and gasket even. all works-lights signals horn-brake lights-taillights-this jeep is amazing. No bondo anywhere. few ripples in hood but that’s being nit picky-no rust and if you want to paint military and want museum condition you could always straighten or replace hood if you are perfectionist-new hoods available from kaiser willys.4x4 works perfect. I’ve never put it in mud. Tires new only not period correct are tires-wipers upgraded to electric, which is what you want, shift knob of which I have new correct one. Engine tight as new, no smoke no noises, starts right up. You can drive this jeep anywhere. Reliable to say the least. I have other new parts from Kaiser Willys - dtat plate for dash-headlight rings. Twin stick shifter boot - new decal for hurricane air cleaner. Like the old one it has patina, lol. You can see the pics of theses items. Sure I’m forgetting something-oh yeah new optima battery-they’re the best. Selling all of my vehicles with clutch because of motorcycle accident 6 weeks ago crushed my left foot and it will never be the same. Maybe you saw my awesome 1979 cj5 that sold on here lol. The starting bid is the reserve which is easily half what its worth if not a third. Only thing you may want to do is paint military. But wherever i go people love the green. SOMEONE ASKED IF IT IS CLEAR FLORIDA TITLE AND IS IT 12 VOLT-YES CLEAR FLORIDA TITLE-YES 12 VOLT
