This is a very unique and unusual situation with this Cadillac. We aquired the car and decided to go from front to back and check and test and fix everything that we could. The reason being was that the car runs absolutely perfect and very literally you can put a glass of water on the engine (and we have a video of that). After doing some research we discovered that at approximately 85K the cylinder heads were replaced, thus why it runs so well. The big issue with the car is code P0741 (Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Performance). Anyone that knows these Cadillacs will realize that this is an extremely common issue and normally means that the TCC Valve needs to be replaced. So of course we bought a genuine Delco Valve and spent 9 hours of labor and replaced the TCC Valve. To our frustration the code is still there and comes back almost immediately when cleared. We took the car back to the Cadillac dealer and their "opinion" is that the actual torque converter is the issue. They are not 100% sure, nor is anyone. The issue here is that it has absolutely no major effect on the way the car drives or functions and does not need to be repaired unless you are in an area that requires emissions and thus the code is not emission related but will stop the test from passing. We can't over emphasize how well this car runs and drives but we are at our witts end and have spent far more money than we will ever get back for this car and there is also a point where you just need to stop. We are at that point. We will absolutely guarantee with $500.00 behind that Guarantee, that this car will drive anywhere in the country without issue. Everything works as it should, Cold A/C, All windows are great, etc. Crystal clear headlamps and all the usual issues with these Cadillacs have either been fixed or do not exist on this car. 2 Remotes. two sets of keys. books in the glove box. There is a silver dollar sized door ding behind the drivers side rear wheel and the right front lower bumper area has a scuff that is noticeable. There are two full sets of keys yet the ignition and door keys are different and we don't know why. Please also note that the rear emblems were changes to DTS and a nwer style nothstar emblem (see all pics)
